There are many Indian users who wants to make to make purchases through paypal and can incur the cost of upgrading but are unable to do it, because of the limitations being put on the indians by paypal. So here are a few solutions to it.

1.Entropay
I think everyone is aware of Entropay being so popular in recent days.

2. Indian banks VCC
Virtual Credit Cards which are also known as VCC can be used for PayPal verification ,Online shopping, paying for hosting fees, advertisements etc..with out disclosing our credit card or debit card details.Below is the list of banks which provide Virtual Credit Cards in India.
HDFC BANK :HDFC Bank Virtual Credit Cards are well known in India, just you have to open a saving account with HDFC Bank and you can enjoy their VCC facility.HDFC Bank VCC which is also known as Netsafe cards can be used for PayPal verification, online shopping, paying hosting fees etc..You can create up to limited VCC per day if you have debit card and if you are a credit card holder then there is not limit.
ICICI BANK :ICICI Bank too provide virtual credit cards but it is not that famous as HDFC bank vcc’s because of some limitation.ICICI Bank virtual credit card (VCC) is an add-on Visa credit card issued on your primary credit card.Customers of ICICI bank can now create virtual credit cards by logging into theironline Net banking account.
Kotak Mahindra Bank : Kotak Mahindra Bank Provides a virtual credit card facility called netc@rd.I think after HDFC Bank both Kotak Mahindra Bank Netc@rd and Axis Bank Eshop cards are best.
Axis BANK : Axis Bank too provides virtual credit card which is also known as Eshop Cards. You can use this card on any site that accepts VISA cards.

But there are some limitations being put on these cards like VCC’s should be used with in given time it may be 24 to 48 hours depending upon your bank.So create vcc only when you need.

3.Credit Card
Indians can also get a credit card if you have an FD above 10000INR and above. You can simply apply for it contacting your branch. No more qualification required. 90% of the FD value can be used for making purchases.Annual fee of this credit card is just 299INR. Stae Bank of India & Axis Bank are offering credit cards for FD of 10000INR and above. When it comes to ICICI bank, this value is 20000INR

4. Debit Cards
Most of your International Debit Cards work with Payza and Neteller if not with Paypal.

I hope this post can help the Indians get rid of this major problem.

Hi Sandeep,

Can you please confirm that we can get a Credit Card on Rs 10000 FD, because Axis bank said they need a deposit of Rs 25,000 when I inquired a couple of years back. Please let me know if you are sure about SBI and Axis.

Have you received a credit card on FD with either SBI or Axis.

Awaiting for your reply.

Thank you for your post which is informative for all Indian users.

Entropay facilitates you virtual credit cards which can be used to make any purchases worldwide. Just sign up @Entropay. Load funds in your account using any one of the available option(bank transfer or using debit cards).
All international visa & master debit cards are accepted by enttropay. Minimum funding for entropay account is $20.
Now you'll have your own vcc with details. Link this card to your paypal account and complete the verification process. Its done!!!!
You can make purchases now using your entropay vcc. :) :)

I think you can use ICICI B2 account to pay through Paypal. I have not used it so I cannot confirm this but I did read a topic on this on another site where other users confirmed this.

Right....
ICICI B2 account works fine with paypal and can be used as a funding source to paypal using b2 ewallet and must say that it is very good initiative by ICICI.
But it has one disadvantage of not open to all cities of India, & constraint to few major cities like:
Ahmedabad, Faridabad, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Ghaziabad, Noida, Calcutta, Gurgaon, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Thana, Delhi, Mumbai coz it is not possible for everyone to possess an address proof of these cities.

Thanx for the confirmation sandeep2120.

It would be kind if you can explain users how to fund Paypal through ICICI B2 account on the Hindi Forum. I'll go ahead and make it a sticky post.

Thank you.

Hi Members,
I have been trying to upgrade my membership to premium user. When i am registering my card using paypal, i get a error message like "This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."
I am using Karur Vysya Bank Debit card. And i have registered already with their ecommerce i.e Verified By Visa Service. Can anyone guide me regarding this problem?

Thanks in advance :)

If you have a debit card you need a Entropay Account . You can transfer fund from entropay vcc to Paypal. For more details you can read Help me Upgrading.
