I know that premium members get paid for 8 levels of referrals. Does this mean 8 referrals of your direct referral, or the direct referrals' referral and their referral and their referrals etc.

sorry if the wording is confusing.

Yes, it is uni-level is you earn on those you directly referred and on those they directly referred and on those they directly referred and on....and so on, down 8 levels.

Unlimited width
