A brave little girl passed away recently

Hi everyone. I wanted to share with you a story I've been following for about 2 years now. Unfortunately this story recently had a sad ending. 2 years ago I learned of a little girl named Natalie who was battling leukemia. I joined her Facebook page to follow her treatment progress. At times things seemed bad but there were many times of good news and great progress. One day the great news came that a marrow match had been found. She had the transplant and seemed to be in remission for several months. Natalie had spent most of her time in a hospital because she could not be exposed to potential illnesses such as the flu and colds. Her immune system was too weak from the constant chemo and medicine treatments she was taking. My hopes were very high for her. I had a positive feeling she would pull through and win this battle. But 2 days ago Natalie passed away in the middle of the night. She had recent complications with her liver. The medicines were just too much for her body. I am deeply saddened over this that this little girl had to live the last moments of her life like this. I believe she was only 10 years old when she passed away.

If you would like to give condolences you can visit her Facebook page here: Finding a Match to Save Natalie Nakatani's Life! | Facebook

Rest in peace brave little angel.

It's always sad when someone passes away. There is no greater sadness when a child passes away.
