I have noticed that valerie has been removing a lot of links from Forum Posts, But if links are not allowed, why is their a URL option?

The url options are there for several reasons. Primarily, we can post in a url to another topic on the forum.
For example, let's say a member is looking for welcome letters. We can reply with the url to the topic welcome letters.
All members can do that.

The other url option is for images, such as members may want to post an image of their payout.

If someone has something to advertise, they are more than welcome to make a purchase.
The ClixSense forum is not the place to advertise.

Might I also note that when replying to (or creating) a post there is an "Options" button that allows you to "Automatically parse links in text" and "Automatically retrieve titles from external links". Both are checked by default, apparently. This causes any url to be parsed into a link and the title to be added.

Example: ClixSense Forum

The above link was created when I pasted the url to the forum there. These options should not be checked by default in my opinion.

But I've heard that stating other sites in the forum is now allowed, except for personal links, is this true?

You can name site names but can't put it in the "URL" option, just as long its not like this Ex:"Hey come join my site scambux and get $0.03 a click!" just as long its a conversation about where you advertise or just mention a site.
