I thought I'd share with you, some out of the box, ways to gain referrals. Can you think of some out of the box ways to gain referrals? This might be a good place to share those ideas.
*One I did some years ago was a 'work at home with disabilities' web page. Now I must say, I did not create the page to promote CS as CS did not even exist at that time. You would not believe the attention that page drew...a lot. I had my
phone number on it and I even received phone calls. Since that page did so well, I am considering creating another, targeted to people that have disabilities that are seeking to make extra income online.
*Over a year ago, my house was destroyed by fire. I'm actually living in a small addition that I had built onto my shop.
I'm in the process of rebuilding and I do have a new house up. However, the house won't be finished until summer. It's
sort of an empty shell at the moment. I started working on a page some months ago, that I have not finished. This page
is targeted at people that have lost their homes do to some sort of disaster. This page is to explain how home owners
insurance works, what to do, what to expect, all the ins and outs....but it also focus is on 'replacement costs'...because
when you lose everything, you have nothing...those items must be replaced and insurance depreciates what you had...
therefore, the page explains how they can get cash back and make extra money, to help them in their long journey to
help cover their replacement costs.
*Weird Stuff - Can you think of things people in general search for by the thousands every day? Well I can think of some things. Cars, Vehicles, Boats, Medical Advice, Mortgage Crisis, and the list goes on and on. You can create content pages and place a CS banner on the pages. You can even say 'Please Click The Banner to Keep Our Web Page Free'. You may even be able to target these people by saying something like 'Make Extra Money to Purchase Your Dream Car'.
*Tell a Story - This is a big one. If you can tell an interesting story whilst doing it in a way that has a lot of content and
keeps the visitor interested from the first sentence to the last, you can be in like flint.
Example might be 'divorce' in which people are now on a single income.*All about YOU - Even if you don't think so, you have something you like very well. Do you sew? Do you babysit? Do you work at a factory? Do you have pets? Are you an artist? What do you do? What do you like to do? Think of something you can talk about that you enjoy talking about. When you enjoy something and/or you have a lot of information about something, create a page about it. Create an article on your blog about it. The thing is, when you have such information, there are lots of other people out there that either want that information or can relate to that information. How do you pay your vet bills, how do you find the extra money to sew new curtains, how do you make money for paint supplies, how do you compensate to make more money besides babysitting, how do you help pay your college education....? etc. I'm sure you can see where I am going with this. You can easily place CS banners and / or explain to others that land on your page due to their same interests, what you are doing to make extra money. It's these types of pages that go in the search engines and google loves them because they contain REAL info that PEOPLE SEARCH for.
There's a lot of out of the box things you can do. This is just a few examples.
