Clicking on Cats

Locked

#1 by mogili » Mon Jan 02, 2012 10:51

It's highly frustrating to click on cats. Since, it's a blind hit, it's essentially a hit and miss affair most of the time. Some times, we have to click more than 7 to 8 times. Each time a new series of cats are shown. Please bring back the old system of selecting an image with reference to a given image. I hope you agree with this suggestion.

Works great for me, too.

I am getting angry when I see : "uff, awful captcha with Christmas theme, I have problem with those", or "uff, I don't like cats". Don't you, guys, too ?

Pausing a while to get a good look ( I do mean, real good look ) on some of the images, but works for me too -- no problems about cat images

Listen, for OVER 4 years, ClixSense had teeny weeny tiny itty bitty images that for the most part, all looked the same.
To top it off, the images were often faded and if anyone can say they did not take some time to match up those images
to the correct one, all I can say is they are a better woman than me. My nose would be practically touching my
monitor trying to determine which image to match. The mountains, water streams, clouds, all looked similar.

Now here they go and implement these much larger images that are as clear as HD and there are members that
say they can't see them? Ya gotta be kidding me.

As for 'cat'...who cares? Seriously what difference does it make if it is a cat image or a horse or a cow or a ball
or a bubble? It's not like you got to take the cat home with you. And who does not know the difference between
a cat and a dog?

In addition, if for some reason you mistake a dog for a cat, you can go back and still get the ad.

In regards to pet finder....here again, what the difference? You want ClixSense to go out and steal images?
It's a friggin COURTESY. They allow them to use those images which is very nice of them to do so. In
return they let members here know that the images are from pet finder.

So I truly don't understand any of that feedback.

I think I can at least understand the feedback about the clicking twice. I figure some must be on slow
dial up and perhaps it takes longer for pages to load so when they have to click twice, they are waiting
twice for those images to load. I am on high speed dsl and I zip zip thru the images and click them
faster than the previous 4 years of teeny weeny itty bitty images.

well...for a company thats paid out 1.8 million dollars to their members, im sure they have enough money to hire an artist to draw a square, triangle, maybe another shape also...

It's not good to keep the same image. That is the thing about the pet finder images, they are always changing.

I have no problem with the new pics and valerie is right what makes the diff if its a cat, dog, person ect ect.
I have done lots of ads with the new images which are much larger (TY ) and I still do not have any issues. I am not sure what is meant by a blind hit? and why some1 would have to click so many times? Can you be more clearer? Is the pics not showing up correctly for some? Not trying to be harsh just wanting to understand.
I hope it works better for the ones whom are having the problems ..

I have no problem with finding the cat. A cat is a cat and a dog is a dog-- not hard to tell the difference.

Well with this new captcha I can't do my usual clicking (lying on the bed while clicking), you need to stick your face 30 cm on the monitor before you can actually see the image.. When I woke I up due to alarm :clixsense: alarm on my toolbar, I need to get up in order to click it unlike before (lying on the bed, only one eye clicking while yawning.. ) Since most of the ads will come to our country in evening due to different timezones..

I'm with you tasjon, it's what I've been trying to figure out. Is some members seeing something different than the rest of us?

Why do you have to stick your face in monitor? The images are larger now than before.

Some of the pics are a little bit dark, and not always it's clear whiche one it's the cat. At least for me, I'm taking a few seconds more to click the capcha, but beyond that, I don't have more troubles.

It has a bigger picture but you can't actually see them directly without looking closely since you can't distinguish their shape looking at a farther distance (since cats and dogs body structure in the image is much identical)..

and since there are 6 pictures now to be evaluated and the placement of the image : : : which makes it harder to
see than putting it in a straight line..

Actually, if you find the cat in the first image or second, you don't have to look on another. Just click it ! It is not that CAPTCHA kinda "click all the cats from the images".

However, I get an overall look and I often find the cats very fast! :cs:heers!

Good for you.. I also think the new captcha is nice even though I have a hard time seeing it, well I have to get used to it though.. :D

It's not that the difference between a cat and a dog is small, it's that the difference between the old pictures were bigger than the differences between a cat and a dog.

With the previous smaller images, I could scan through them more quickly since my eyes would have to move side to side less than with the 6 images that are currently in place.

I don't mind the new change, but if there was an option to choose between the two, for people who prefered the old system

Yeah I agree.. this is what I meant when I say the placement of pix are now harder than it is in straight line..

:?: So instead of a 3x3 pic window system that pops up, you'd like to see a straight lined 6-pic frame image?

Errr... I'm beginning to like the 3x3 frame

( *idea* :!: ) Somebody try make a new Poll and ask around ( 3x3 frame, or straight 6 frame ) -- or ask in the Features Request area
