Mac (Lion) - Zooms uncontrollably

Not sure what I am doing but I don't think I am doing anything.

I know it is mouse enabled some way that is causing it to do that. Obviously, just typing or non movement of the mouse, does not cause zooming.

I'll be simply on a page and perhaps move my entire mouse up to the toolbar or even here at the forum, click on a topic...and it will often ZOOM in my face.

I guess I'll have to simply turn off these additional features but thought I'd ask if anyone else has experienced it
and if there is a solution other than turning off those features?

Sorry, I have not noticed it! This is probably not the case, But do you hold a key such as the Command key when moving you mouse, That could trigger your computer to zoom in!

Nope, I don't hold a command key.

I may go over to the apple site and see if I can find anyone that has similar experience.
Also, I am using a mac desktop. It may be a lion bug.

Yes.

I also have a track pad but have not really used it.

I am thinking about purchasing a different type of mouse. This magic mouse eats the batteries like it is starving.

It does scroll up and down, sideways, just fine using the finger on the mouse.

It's just that the zoom seems to be uncontrollable. Something I must do with my finger on the mouse when I am
clicking on a page or clicking on a topic, it zooms on it's own. Maybe it is a haunted mouse.

Haunted Mouse? Thats the reason I use a Trackpad on my MacBook Pro!

But back to Topic, It does sound like your Magic Mouse is faulty as it zooms in and out by Itself, I would take it the Apple Store and see what they think of it!

Eh, it's always something no matter where you are. I might as well stay here and deal with the in my face ZOOMing rather than move to another country and deal with evil toasters or some other monstrosity.

We better shut up or some members will think we have flipped out!

You probably need a new mouse Valerie.
Get a wired Microsoft mouse and you'll be happy with it as long as you are not addicted to the Magic Mouse. I find it very uncomfortable because my fingers tend to click the wrong button

I have been using the same Microsoft Mouse for 6 years now and its still running good. Full value for money I'd say.

I don't have any problem with using it or clicking. But I do think I will get a wired mouse because this one is haunted anyway. :o

I too remember that 'ghost' topic

Its getting rather creepy here on the CS forum. And now we also have cats who many people believe can see ghosts and spirits
