Hello users from India,
This post is for all Indian residents who regularly use PayPal for sending or receiving money. Indians usually finds it difficult to make purchases through paypal (coz of newly introduced rbi guidelines and knowing the facts that it is hard to get a credit card in India.) So here is how you can do this with the help of ICICI B2 account.

ICICI B2 account offers a zero balance online saving account to the people residing in the following cities of India and have their address proof of these cities.
Ahmedabad, Faridabad, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Ghaziabad, Noida, Calcutta, Gurgaon, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Thana, Delhi, Mumbai.

This account can be used as a withdrawing option from your paypal account.
Get an ICICI B2 account HERE.

It normally takes 10-15 days for your account to be fully activated because of the verification process.

Once your account is fully activated, you can use E-wallet from ICICI to make any sort of purchases you want to make via paypal or any other payment processor which accepts credit cards.
E-Wallet provides you with virtual credit card which behaves like a normal credit card except that you won't get a physical card in this case. This is a free sevice offered to all ICICI bank users. You'll get an online statement for every transaction that you do using your E-Wallet vcc.

Now to add this vcc to your paypal account...
1.After your b2 account is activated (it takes 10-15 days) and you have moved money into this account via NEFT or Cheque deposit, login into your account. In summary tab, Under E-wallet Section click on “Allocate Funds”.

2.Now Click on “Fill now” and follow other onscreen directions. If it asks you to enter few grid values from security card and you won’t know what to do, probably you haven’t received your security card yet, please wait for few more days. security card will be sent to you via postal mail.

3.Please remember to fill your E-wallet with Higher amount like Rs2,500/-. Doing Transactions with international merchants in foreign currency need some extra balance. Don’t worry after completing verification you can withdraw this amount.

4.Logon to you PayPal Account and go to Add your Card form to-do list. Now enter your E-wallet card number and other details. All this details can be found in your b2 saving account. check in Card > E-wallet

5.Wait for 2-3days and check statement of your E-wallet for 4-digit PayPal code. Statement can be found in Card > E-wallet section > View statement

6.Now login to your PayPal account and enter that four digit code! After you have successfully confirmed your card, PayPal will refund you that $1.95 USD.

& its DONE.

As far as as this Topic is concerned as to make purchases through PayPal (Cause of newly introduced RBI guidelines and knowing the facts that it is hard to get a credit card in India), I think PayPal accepts all International Credit/Debit Cards because I have already added my Axis Bank Titanium Debit Card with PayPal which is an International Debit Card. Maestro Debit Card is not an International Debit Card and it can only be used within India. I think to make purchases through PayPal the Card should be International in nature. SBI also issues various International Debit Cards. To have an idea about SBI International Debit Cards, kindly visit www.sbi.co.in.

Now we can verify our paypal account without the need of a credit card.

Just add your bank account number. Paypal will send you 2 small deposits to your bank account.
And within 4 to 6 days, login to paypal and give them the 2 deposits value and your account will get verified by paypal. !

No Credit Card needed !!

To verify PayPal account Credit Card was never necessary. If you want to make purchases through PayPal then you must have to add Credit Card into it.
