ClixGrid

Locked

#1 by kathyl43 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 17:06

I saw once, a while back how many prizes are on the grid at one time, but I can't find it now. Is it still there? It's kind of frustrating to click and not know what you are clicking for, especially when you never win. It would be easier to play if you know what you are playing for. I find myself not being enthused about playing.

There is also 5 extra clicks. I agree with Kathy on this. It would be nice to know how many of each are offered on the grid at one time and if they are randomly placed each time you click to open the grids page or of they are placed manually or even randomly and stay in the same place until someone wins and then I wonder in this case if that specific one disappears because it has been found? Great question kathyl43!!

I might be wrong but my guess is, it is simply random and that is it.

It's not like if you were say in person and had three doors to choose and you open the door and there is a prize behind one.
I don't think there is prizes behind any square in the grid. Like I said, I might be wrong but I have not saw a script that worked like that.

What I think is it's simply the members clicks. Every so often, at random, a click will generate a win. See what I am saying? I don't think it's the square per se. I think it's the click. Therefore, no, there would not be prizes behind squares like prizes behind real doors. It's click generation in randomness at work.

Again, I will repeat, I don't know, just guessing.

I believe your right valerie after an amount of clicks the next click will be the win of $0.10 and be more for the higher prizes. Don't know how much clicks to get the prize.

That would make sense. Its like when I do not qualify for a survey on a specific survey site I am a part of and I get a chance to click to win a certain amount of points (cash) just for trying. It is a completely random kind of thing. Sometimes I win but most the time I do not...lol!

My guess is the clicks to win is random as well. You can kind of think of it as a random rotator, not a sequential rotator.
In that the sequence to win, is always going to be random.

In regards to the total dollar winnings each day, it probably has a cap on it. It would have to. So as the crow flys or in the instance, as the cron runs, it's going to start again every 24 hours.

Thanks Valerie, that does make sense, but the sequential rotator would be interesting. My luck has not been good with the random rotator, as I've only won 10 cents since the clixgrid started, that better than nothing though. Will keep plugging away.

Ya can't have a sequential rotator in a game. Otherwise everyone would know when the winning ticket would come up.

As I remember from the past, there were a limited number of prizes available. When all of the prizes were won, there was a notice given that there were no more prizes available but you may continue to click if you wish. I'm not sure if it is just my lack of observation, but I haven't seen this in a while.

I remember that the prizes increase with the number of ads purchased. In other words, if advertisers have purchased 1000 ads on the ClixGrid, there would be more prizes than is only 100 ads were purchased.

Please note that memory is the first to go so mine might not be that great. :)

If you buy an ad on the Clixgrid, you get unlimited exposure to your website for 30 days. (12,000 or more views average)

Nice stats Eddie!

I bought 4 ads for the ClixGrid, One is about to expire on Tuesday. It has had 15,810 views and 15,268 were unique hits.

ClixGrid is a nice bang for the buck!

Yep, that is something else, Kreacher. In regards to advertisers purchases. If there is only one advert on the clixgrid, then certainly could not get many prizes out of that.

So it's got to also be based on the number of adverts/funds available from purchases divided and multiplied across the grid in regards to the percentage of prizes versus the funds received.
