Nothing to help one go through the day without a pair of earphones and playing a few tunes on their gear -- figures, bored... already checked social networking sites, updated messages, checked updates, and goofed off at YT... ( *deep sigh* ) nothing like music to help pass the time

Well, aside that one can read a book or two, do cross-stitching, grab something to chew ( not nibble, I mean really -- big mouthfuls! :D )

:?: Care to share a few tunes you'd play?

Now, don't worry if the song in you list's not English -- I've listened to Dschingis Khan's "Moscau", Brunch's "Imagine" -- just a few in my playlist, and I like them!

A few that I'd play from time to time while waiting:

Simon and Grafunknel / "The Boxer"
Spandau Ballet / "Gold"
Dan Fogelburg / "Leader of the Band"
Fine Young Cannibals / "She drives me crazy"
Sting / "Every breath you take"
Sugar Free / "Makita kang muli"
Kamikazee / "Doobidoo" ( a revival, and rocked version of APO Hiking Society's original song ;) )

And of course, the YT video from my recent post: GT Distractions - Y02 | ClixSense Forum

I got dibs on UB40's "Can't Help Falling in Love" :D Among the Oldies, I love "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter Paul and Mary, and of course Elvis Presley's version of "Can't Help Falling in Love"

Oh, how could I forget: "Hotel California" by the Eagles!

Back in the day, I remember some radio stations would not play 'Puff the Magic Dragon'.

It really wasn't anything mysterious about the song, no under coated meaning. However, many
hippies took it as a smoking pot and LSD song.

 That I didn't know -- but I do know this: in the Metro, if one plans to sing in any karaoke bar, never sing Frank Sinatra's "My Way"

Old Blue Eye's song has a... err, "dying" reputation on some of the drinking patrons here too, if you know what I mean
( *shudder* ) :silent:

I saw Frank Sinatra Jr. in person back when I was about 12 years old.
It was an outside theater at a big shopping mall in Chicago Heights area.
I'll never forget that. I went with my best friend and her mom and dad....they are Polish and
her parents loved Frank Sinatra. After the concert ended, we chased him and he went into a
jewelry store inside the mall. We had our nose smashed up against the glass trying to see him.
Then he left by helicopter from the top of mall.

PS. That was about 1968

Saw him on 1968... ( *gasp* ) You're my 'elder sister' then, Val -- I'm just a Martial-law baby ( 70's )

Some songs today are merely remakes of classics -- and some are mostly noise ( no mentioning titles here :silent: ) so it's a good thing to see some kids started appreciating early 70's & 80's music
