I have been a member of Clixsense starting April of 2007 (Premium), on the 22nd of this month my premuim expires.
In the last year I have not cashed out once and have accumulated a bit over $20.00, with the premium costing $17.00 this means I have earned just a tad over $3.00. I understand this is not the normal but really, is it worth it for me?

I did have 3 downline members shortly after I joined, I earned 20 cents from them and they were gone.

I admit, I suck when it comes to recruting and also I usually get to the Clixsense site once a day as I do have kinda a busy lifestyle.

My upline should be happy with me at this point as I have been under this person from the begining, no help there.

I have requested that Clixsense start doing something with the direct signups they receive just for this reason, yet most members do seem to be against offering to place direct signups in any matter, so most likely that will not happen, UHG!

Either way, I do feel that Clixsense is a very good site that does care about its members and advertisers, but with what I stated with my earninmgs above it just does not seem to be worth it with my situation and I am trying to make a decision on as the 80's song goes....

Should I Stay or Should I Go ????

I would never tell you to go and neither would anyone else. I think you should try promoting your referral link more if you haven't. You don't really have to be a great recruiter, just a consistent one from what I see. Now, ClixSense has implemented new ways to make even more with the Tasks feature and also added level 1 downline commission for Tasks that your referrals do. With that being just few of other ways to earn coming around the corner, I would advise that you stay. I mean if you can login daily like you said, you can make an average of $0.04 or more for clicking ads and do tasks multiple times and possibly make a lot more between cents to dollars to add to that. You're now guaranteed to make a lot more than your upgrade price.

Hi Lewis,

Sorry but your story sounds incredible.

As TPhoenix said, try taking the time and look over the Tasks.
I'm not a natural English speaker but I've succeeded completing several tasks, so I'm quite happy with 90 cents earned in the last 3 days

Even without tasks - I would be embarrassed to say that in almost 5 years I couldn't find anyone to join for a longer time period or some way to get about 5 active referrals.

You're not the only one having a "busy lifestyle", especially these days, so stop complaining and do something to convince 3 people until 1st of March. If you expect some wonder procedure to get refs, believe me, there is not, as there is no pill for that to take in the evening and wake up in the morning with a new friend in your downline.

My story is much shorter than yours, Lewis. I've heard there is a way to earn money by clicking ads in November last year. First week of December I found Clixsense and I've register after doing some research myself before to check if it reliable. 5 days later I understood there is no way to get money if you don't have refs. So I spent some time looking for the secret weapon, like you're doing now. Meanwhile I found it! Yes! It was right under my eyes every time I was clicking on ads.
The secret, Lewis, is to read the ads that your clicking and see how other are promoting their ref id. Then try doing it yourself.

Just so you know I will most likely stay a premium member and in no way was it meant for me to sound as if I was complaining. Rather I was really hoping to get some good sound, understandable advice and to let the Clixsense owners/workers see what does happen to some of the members and maybe come up with a way to help out a bit, thats all.

I definitely would recommend the tasks. I cashed out on Monday with over $9.00 and have already earned $6.03 and Im sure Ill be cashing out with atleast $8.00 again this coming Monday. Some of the tasks are very easy and once you do a few and get the hang of it they get easier and faster.
I posted my payment proof on Facebook and got 3 referrals just from that (everyone likes to see proof)...so far Im not positive that 2 will even be or remain active but I am ok with my own personal earnings with or without referrals.

PS: I stay logged in all day but am not always at my comp...I have three teens that I am a cook, hair dresser, personal driver, tutor and more for so I understand what you are saying about being busy but I would suggest when you are busy at home having your sound on where you can hear the sound when an ad comes through...this definitely helps me a lot in keeping up with the ads.

So, I tried the task today and i have to admit its a bit confusing for me because I have never did something like that before. but I will also say that in the process I did earn 82 cents, Huh! Not bad.

If you haven't downloaded the toolbar and turned on the sound in your settings, you may be missing a few ads while you are doing the tasks.
Another earning opportunity is the surveys to look into is the surveys. I earned a little over $15 in 4-5 months by taking the surveys as the became available.

Getting referrals is not easy. I've been a member since 2007 also and despite advertising on traffic exchanges for years, I only had 14 referrals (most of which never clicked for more than a week or two) It took following the advice posted in the forums from several successful members for me to change my approach. There are several very good threads in the forums that can help you build a large number of direct referrals.

Robin

PS- a  for the Clash reference in your original post :)

So, just to make sure I am right on this...

$17.00 for a premium instead of the $10.00 that it was?

A premium member gets paid for his/her referrals but no premium membership does not?

Premium or non premium members alike can use the task to earn?

If a non premium member gets some referrals under him/her and then upgrades to premium they will start getting paid the commission for their downlines work?

The reason I ask is because I usually end up viewing 5 to 10 ads a day and as I stated earlier here, I have no referrals. I relize that the number of ads that will be available for me to view could end up being less but plain and simple, I am having a very hard time swallowing that it would be in my best interest to pay the $17.00, I do not see where being a free member (In my situation) would make that much of a difference from being a premium member.

Again, in case it sounds like it, I am not trying to complain here but just trying to decide to pay.

I have decided to stay.

When I registered was $14.95 for premium not $10.

Just to update on my stats...

I have let my Premuim status expire on the 02/22 and to my amazement on the very same day I actually received one referral that thus far seems to be doing well (glad to have you aboard if you read this).

I also have been trying to work the Clixsense site a bit more than I have been in the past, with the veiwing of ads and the task that I am able to do I have increased my account earnings by about $7.00 since I originally started this post.

So anyhow, things do seem to be going a bit better for me with the Clixsense site and hopefully it will continue to do so. It all helps from life becoming an "Our House in the Middle of the Street" thing. (Yes another fine song)

I figure if I can get ten active referrals under me I will probably go back to being premium. It sure would be nice if Clixsense would offer an option of having an amount of referrals placed under them for going premium instead of getting the 100 or so ads, but probably not.
