Would my username lose me potential referrals?

Locked

The only reason I am asking this is because my username, which is also my real name, "Casey" is the same first name as yea, you know.. Casey Anthony. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who can't even look at this name now because it reminds them of her. I may just be over thinking it but I don't want to give anyone a reason to not signup under me.

What do you think? Should I worry about this?

You can change your username in your profile if you want. You can even change the preferences to not show your name etc on your affiliate page in your profile.

Yea. I've changed my username before. It will still show here on the forums even with the changed settings and I wouldn't want to appear too secret to my referrals.

If you select 'none' for your affiliate page then it won't show your name when you have prospects looking at the site. Once they are under you and signed up they can still see your name as there sponsor. You can still change this also if you want. In any case I don't think it would affect anything.

ugh, I knew it!

I've always liked keeping my usernames simple and the same as much as possible. I'd want to have people recognize my name without any ill feelings.

I don't think anyone would give it a thought let alone a second thought.

Also, I don't think anyone would be thinking C Anthony is clicking ads to make money.
All she has to do is some interviews to make a mint.

The jest of it is, she murdered her own little child and got away with it.

Yea. It was a court case that lasted a long time in America. The woman accused of the crime is hated severely because of it and even more that she was acquitted. There are people who won't even let her enter their restaurant or store and so I imagined that a LOT of people have scratched the name "Casey" as possible names for their child now.
