The Bangles - Hazy Shade Of Winter

One of the most talented groups of the 1980s. Songwriting & singing was shared between all of the band members, and their big break came after Prince gave them the song Manic Monday to record.

Alas, when you have someone as hot as Susanna Hoffs up front, everyone else is going to fade into the background a little, resulting in the break-up of a really good band (I won't insult their genuine talent by labeling them a "girl group") after only 8 years.

No clip, but really good to mellow-out to. A lot of people seem to cry during the second half of this song. Maybe it brings back lost memories or yearnings. Or maybe it is the captain taking us on his final journey home (to the afterlife?) & the listener's knowledge that he will never sail his ship again. Everyone interprets this song in their own way.
