What is used as a compliment

If it is the 4-letter c-word, then I have never heard it used as a compliment in the 51 years since I was born here. If you compliment someone with that word, you will most likely get a smack in the mouth & find yourself out the door very quickly. The police might even be called if it was said to a woman. You can use the F-word on TV, you can use the S-word on TV, but you cannot use the C-word, except in the rarest of cases with strong warnings about offensive language before the program.

I just hate the word anyway, because it is extremely misogynistic.

Aussies will often tell foreigners that really offensive things are compliments in Australia, just for the fun of watching them get in a little bit of trouble. It is called "taking the p*ss" - a great Australian tradition.

A more commonly used compliment is the word "bastard", but you have to careful to say it the right way. It can be a compliment, but it can also be a strong insult. I'm afraid you come from a part of the world where the accent makes it sound like an insult. Scots, the Irish, and those from Yorkshire can easily get away with it though.

The Stone Poneys (with Linda Ronstadt) - Different Drum

Linda Ronstadt has a voice that just blows me away. A genuine American treasure.

According to my long aussie pal if you place sick in front of it .....no insult .
But maybe it depends on which part of Australia you are? Heck what do I know.... Aussies are weird

Just a really sweet song. Herb Alpert (of Tijuana Brass fame) does the trumpet solo.

Listening to Shadow Of The Day. Haven't listened to them in so long.

Some great artists taking their own lives, so sad. RIP Chester. Their music has always been pretty sombre and a lot of the words in their songs kind of makes it feel like it was always certain to happen. Hmm.

I'm listening to a variety of songs tonight.
