Thanks, Sarah. I don't remember hearing that name before, but I love the music. Gonna check them out on my next CD order.

Yeah, I'm old school. My grand-daughter keeps trying to convince me to get rid of the CD player and use an iPond or MPG Player. Right...

They tried to convince me to give up my VCR. They see how far they got with that one.

You're most welcome! I love The Cranberries, and that is one of my favorites; I think you won't regret that order. ;)

Haha, I appreciate the old school too, I find the CD's so charming! So congrats for standing your ground! :)

Unfortunately, it seems the ground I'm standing is being taken over by my kids. LOL

Oh, I guess then I probably misunderstood you, as you said they were trying to convince you and that you were going to order a new CD...

By the way, I forgot to mention that The Cranberries also have harder songs, I don't know if you'd like them, so just in case... this one is a great example, probably their most famous hit (immortal song, to me):

The Cranberries - Zombie

To be honest, I'm not sure what I was talking about. My mind tends to turn to corn meal when I've been doing a marathon session online.

As for their zombie song, After listening to it, I'm definitely going to be adding them to my selection list. But I'll make sure I get rested before I do. No telling what I might wind up with

Thank you, that was a very nice one! I think I only knew this song by them (I like the video too, but I know you like watching the lyrics, so... ;) ):

Skillet - Monster

You're welcome & thanks for another nice song of them.

Well, let's just say that I personally have a greater impact of the song meanings when I visualize the lyrics, unless of course, the music video is something special that I like. So you'd notice that many of the songs which I've posted here have the official music videos therein.

Anyway, thank you for the Cranberries, like this band's songs. :)

Hahaha, no worries, I know what that marathons are like! LOL

I think you'll do well, these Cranberries are good people!

Well, you'd notice that not all the music videos which I've posted here contains on-screen lyrics, I only do that if the video is not that significant and/or if it's not related to the track itself.

Another thing is that the majority of the listeners (including me) are from the countries where English isn't the native language. So by the on-screen lyrics one can follow the songs much easier & understand it.
I personally have a greater impact of the song meanings when I visualize the lyrics, unless of course, the official video is something special.

Thank you for the Cranberries, like this band's songs. :)

You're welcome too!
Nope, actually I didn't notice it, or I don't recall it haha, I got the impression that all your videos were the lyrics type... sorry, that was a wrong impression. And yeah, I also think that non-native speakers like us can take a great advantage by seeing the lyrics, both to understand the song better and to improve our learning!

You're welcome again, I really like them too. :)
Cheers!

Lol! you quoted the unedited part (therefore, making the editing void) which I later modified, as after posting I
thought may be I was under-estimating other people here who are quite well-versed in English despite being from
non-native english speaking countries.

Anyway, never mind of not noticing them, I know most of my songs would be considered rather boring by today's generations, somehow I've always liked the dark & sad songs much. Maybe I can relate to them in some way.

I guess you are talking about Missing... as I told you that day, I was very glad to hear it brought some happy memories back to you; I love that song too. You're most welcome. ;)

And by the way, you posted that Röyksopp-Fever Ray song/video, What else is there?, which I just seem not to be able to get out of my head... so thanks (I guess, haha). :P

Oh, I'm sorry for that, but it seems we almost crossed posts, so I could only read and answer the first version of yours; I guess this happens very often around the forums and we just have to live with it... it's happened to me too.

Well, I personally don't think you were underestimating anyone here... moreover, I think you and I, for example, are among the people here whose English level is not bad at all, but still, as I said, I think the fact of visualizing the lyrics can help us improve our English listening/understanding; and I also think the people who are so well-versed in English that they consider they don't need to visualize any lyrics, wouldn't feel offended, since they'd probably guess that you were thinking about people who are still somehow learning or improving their English skills; at least, those are the kind of people I was talking about.

Wow, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me you felt somehow offended by what I said; and I think you got me totally wrong... haven't you noticed that I "Liked"/commented most of your posts? I guess that means something, and not precisely that I consider your songs boring... I think I've said this before, or something similar: to me, music is timeless; it doesn't have anything to do with age. I used to listen to old rock hits when I was 14, and enjoyed them very much, as I still do; I'm currently 31, not too young, not too old I guess, but my musical tastes have not changed much since I was a teen. I posted a 80's hit not too long ago (and whenever I post a song, that means I like/love that song); and I've also posted some more contemporary stuff... and some sad/dark stuff, because I've always liked dark and sad songs too (anyway, it's not been too long since I've started to contribute this thread, so wait and you'll surely see more examples of what I'm talking about). Anyway, I always say that, as long as the song touches me and I enjoy it, I don't care at all which age/genre/tone it belongs to. Music is beyond labels, at least it is to me.

So no, I didn't mean I had ignored your songs or anything like that, I'm really surprised that you got to think that, because as I've told you, you know I've made several positive comments about the songs you've posted (furthermore, please, take another look at what I wrote in your reputation panel when I upvoted you...). What I meant is that somehow I got the impression that most of your videos were the lyrics type, but that's just because maybe the last 3 or 4 videos you posted were that kind, and so my mind "recorded" that impression, I don't know, there are so many posted videos here! I guess you've been contributing to this thread for much longer than I've been, so I haven't seen all the stuff you've posted; but I can assure you that your songs are among the ones I like more since I've started contributing here, and there's proof of that... so I'm very sorry that you didn't understand me, and that I didn't explain myself more properly. I apologize for that.

P.S. Sorry about the tome, but I needed to explain myself.
