What is the search button at the top?

It took me to some accono

It's related to the forums. If you need to search for something on the forums.

Made a check -- WOT warning popped up, so ran a link scan; seemed ok ( but still worried the Red ring flashed up )

valerie i think you are referring to the Advanced Search
what i mean is Search button in between Toolbar and Helpdesk buttons

I too use WOT (in Firefox)
I don't know why

many of them say scam,phishing..... and also provide some blacklists to check
only a few say its good

so it should go into yellow or red color

but it is green

so what to believe what to not
really confused i have to admit

WOT helps by pausing the browser, then letting the user decide if he/she wants to proceed using the link -- it helps me; when the browser warns and pauses, I'd copy-paste the link then run it first to a online link scanner to validate ( a quick search will provide site sites that not only scan sites and links, but also files that you download for updates ) on a seperate Tab or Window

Though it's still the user's call to go on and use the site/link, there's "many ways to skin a cat" so to speak -- search engines, keywords and a lot of patience
