jeff120, studies show that eating more small meals thru out the day is much more healthy, be careful with just having water and no food! ;)

I had fried fish, corn, and hushpuppies. It was oil city. Good, but greasy.

Have you ever watched the documentary 'Forks Over Spoons'?

We had frito chili pie. Fritos topped with chili that I made for dinner last night, shredded cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream. Yummy!! Since I had left over chili it was a super easy and fast dinner and the kids LOVE it!!

Actually, my piano teacher was a BEAST FAT woman. I am not proud to say that. But she took a diet : eating the richest meal in calories in the morning, after that some water, fruits, and in the evening a grapefruit or so...

I don't know how healthy is this diet, but now, after a couple of months, she has lost 30-40kg and looks like a normal woman. Maybe a reason is her marriage, also :)).

Right now she is just kinda tall. But I don't think she got a diet for that, too.

Now, what I want to point out: from her diet she made a lifestyle. I don't want to make that diet a lifestyle for me, but it worked for her, like what you said was proved : more small meals are much more healthy (:

I think another problem for people in America in regards to eating healthy, is not all whole foods are
readily available.

For example, I live in TN, a southern state. But not so far south that there is a constant supply and
large variety of fresh veggies/fruits.

I'm always eager for summer, when the watermelon, cantaloupe, muskmelon, melons, tomatoes, corn
on the cob, beets, etc etc etc are fresh and available.

In the winter, there is little fresh veggies and fruits. What there is, is mostly shipped in from over seas.
In small towns, even many of these items are not available in the winter.

I love watching the tv shows, like travel channel, that shows people walking down the streets and all
the fruit and veggie vendors, lots of them, with the huge variety of delicious fresh stuff. They'll be
talking on the show about the scenic views and my mouth is watering looking at all the fresh foods.
