Woman drinks 2 gallon of coke daily - Dies

I'm hearing on the news/tv that a woman died recently and the family is suing coke.
The woman smoked 30 cigarettes a day and drank 2 gallon of coke a day.

Well I am sorry the woman passed away but my gosh, what would anyone expect their life spam to be drinking 2 gallon of coke every day?

I did not look it up online, was listening to it from the tv. Went over and read it from your link.

It is quite shocking as I can't imagine anyone drinking that much fluid of anything in one day.
Maybe a road crew in the heat of summer in Nashville.

Seriously, a lot of coke.

I do drink caffeine free diet coke cola. I buy the cases that have 24 cans at 12 oz per can.
I shouldn't drink any of it but I guess I always will. However, I drink one a day and there
are days I don't drink any.

The amount she drank, is almost equal to the same case sizes that I buy...only she drank
almost an entire case (24 cans in a case) every day!

Can you imagine going to the store and buying 30 cases of coke every month? It's also a
lot of money. I'm surprised her husband did not do something, make her go to the doctor
to see what was making her have such a craving as that.

I use to eat ice. I guess I ate ice for about 5 years or more before realizing what was wrong
with me. Fortunately I did not crave coke. My problem was I was anemic and had very low
iron. But I had a glass of ice in hand at all times, and every where I went. I'd buy bags of
crushed ice in quantity and keep in my deep freezer....just so I could eat it.

So my guess is, she was lacking in something and should have gone to the doctor and done
tests to find out what it was.

That much soda... *shudder* :?

I know I could down a liter of soda on certain days, especially now that summer's hitting hard in my region ( temperatures are about to be 34.2-34.8C in the Metro ) then following it up with lots of cold water later -- but consuming soda, and nothing less than soda everyday... that's just scary to imagine

I'd say goodbye to my liver, if that would happen to me  Hello long-term complications!

But in her case... we'll never know *groan*

I don't know why people think it's Coke's fault. It's like the ones that blame fast food for the food that they eat. Or people who blame cigarette companies. No one forces you to do these things. Blame yourself, not these companies.

That's already a big problem with people all over the world, they blame everyone else instead of themselves and making the changes in their own life.
