Anyone know of an image protect identity software

Locked

#1 by valerie » Thu Jun 07, 2012 13:14

I wonder if anyone knows of a very good image identity protection software?
I can't think of what they call it but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Preferably that works with MAC.

I'm looking for images/pictures identity theft protection.....you know that you can place a ghost type over the image.

Oh, that -- then you need MYOWS

Then after you create an account there ( it's free ), go to TINEYE where, also a free sign-up, will allow you to mirror-check your images

Don't forget to keep a copy of both site's ToS :)

 Though I could had recommended getting GIMP, then a quick check over Youtube for a video tutorial on how to make a watermark ( Since GIMP can be used on Macs and Linux platforms ) -- MYOWS a bit more preferred on some sites these days, especially when protecting images

'Watermark' is the word I was trying to think of.

Thanks, I'll check out those.

For all I know, there may be something on this mac that does that.

 Found on a ( once more ) quick browse -- How to Make Watermarks | eHow.com

There's a set of directions included in the guide if one has a Mac :)

I'm checking that out too.

In regards to software, it's kind of confusing. Some suggest 'Star Watermark'.

Well, I'll keep browsing around and decide on something.

 Quick search -- found an online one: Free Online Image Editor

No need to download, works on any browser; one can choose the output format they want, add watermarks easily among resizing / cropping, and a handy GIF maker as well
