First kind of houses are the ones located outside the capitol city in villages all over the country - people there prefer the peace and quiet and the pricing is too low. So, for these parameters I can say, that roughly... it will be around 70000 levs, which is roundabout 43750 $ USD (This includes the furniture inside and the work that the house will need to freshen-up).

Now, if you want to live in the capitol Sofia (since all the main companies have offices here, and most of the universities are here) if you try to buy a house here you better come prepared ... Because the difference in the pricing is stunning. A house with these parameters here will cost around ....

250000 levs, which is around 156250 $ USD. If you're good at bargaining, since Bulgarians are well known for that, you can manage a better deal, but it will be hard, really hard to buy a house in the better parts of the city ...

In my area (which is adjacent but separated by a river to a quick-develop medium-size city : I can watch it from our roof top), the land and house together costs around $ 450-500 K

Its healthcare, education, economy has gone to sh** at least for the most part certain provinces, whilst some provinces are doing better for themselves but the problem of street gang and crime has gone up skyrocket. Well ... It's awesome, if you have the money .. The language is easy, but finding a decent job is a pain. Because if you come in Bulgaria with your money from Canada - it's okay, but when they run out you will be stuck in a situation. Because here lower class jobs pay less and it is VERY important to find a decent job.

It depends, if I can live like a king with my money as my old boss used to tell me, then I wonder how long the money would last living normally............

I guess money is not everything sometimes you realise that you have it better where you are despite being robbed blind by the THIEVES / CROOKS / CORRUPTED SELFLESS/HEARTLESS people in power that got voted by people to represent OUR best interest and not that of their wallet and buddies wallet! lol.
