Unless you buy frequently from a stall owner in the market ( which is locally known as "suki" ) you'd be able to get a good bargain price from the items you buy from his/her stall compared to others ;)

( There'll be times the shop owner would also give you some of his/her wares for free when their sales are good  )

If you are that kitty in real life you'll get all the rice all the time lol

Dang! I think the Philippines has my vote on buying power.

Whatever you do, don't buy anything in Canada.

Ok, how much does a nice house cost in your country? I'll define nice house:

Approximately 2000 square foot house
Less than 20 years old
2 or 3 bedroom
1 or 2 bathrooms
1 acre of land
standard grade for your area of the world

In the USA, house cost can vary greatly. For example, where I live, in a rural country area in the state
of Tennessee, small community area, housing costs much less than if I was in New York. It's hard to define
the prices here. A rough relay of the price would be about $125,000 to $175,000 in rural areas and small
towns and cities to upwards of half a million dollars or more, in major cities. This according to the house
listed above.

*Challenge Accepted!*

From what I know, in Pagasinan ( close to Baguio City ) you can get a lot area of 1 hectare for Php 0.15-20M ( roughly $10-12k -- though I wish another Filipino would validate the price of land today, prices may be changing )

So for $125k, you'd be able to get a pretty expensive lot in the Makati business area ( The Fort ), or a well-build home in Cebu, or a pretty good farm in Pangasinan or Cagayan de Oro :D

Okay, let's see.

If you're going to buy a house in Bulgaria there are two types of houses you can find:

First kind of houses are the ones located outside the capitol city in villages all over the country - people there prefer the peace and quiet and the pricing is too low. So, for these parameters I can say, that roughly... it will be around 70000 levs, which is roundabout 43750 $ USD (This includes the furniture inside and the work that the house will need to freshen-up).

Now, if you want to live in the capitol Sofia (since all the main companies have offices here, and most of the universities are here) if you try to buy a house here you better come prepared ... Because the difference in the pricing is stunning. A house with these parameters here will cost around ....

250000 levs, which is around 156250 $ USD. If you're good at bargaining, since Bulgarians are well known for that, you can manage a better deal, but it will be hard, really hard to buy a house in the better parts of the city ...

In my area (which is adjacent but separated by a river to a quick-develop medium-size city : I can watch it from our roof top), the land and house together costs around $ 450-500 K

I can get around 100 Dairy Milks each costs 5 Rupees
$1 rounding to 50 Rupees approx.

I bought my current apartment in Bucharest last year for less than 100k Euro - 2 bdrms, 82 sqm + 12 sqm balcony, 2 parking places in the basement, 24/7 security , 100 m from subway, (all of these counts here)

My house in Ploiesti (60 km far from Bucharest), currently rented for 800euro/mth, evaluated for sale at 186k - 800sqm (includes 250sqm for the house), downtown, ground level, 7 rooms, nice private backyard - anyone interested ?:D

A square metre is equal to:
0.000 001 square kilometre (km2)
10,000 square centimetres (cm2)
0.000 1 hectares (ha)
0.001 decares (daa)
0.01 ares (a)
0.1 deciares (da)
1 centiare (ca)
0.000 247 105 381 acres
1.195 990 square yards
10.763 911 square feet
1,550.003 1 square inches

I had to google it.

How we are being ripped off here in taxes and government corruption on all levels.

How much is typical rent in S.A., for a 5 1/2 ?

Holy Jesus lol I should move the hell out of here !    Over here you buy a rut, old moldy house for $375k-$400k, and if you are lucky enough to afford decent, upwards of $750k-$900k.........Here houses are over valued, it is a scam industry and corruption running the system. People think that they can make profits in real estate that way, WRONG. Repair costs a lot here, simple jobs repairs cost $25k and up, to fix a ****** tiny crack on a foundation $10k+, it's criminal ! By the time you are done and want to sell your house around here, you'd have to spend at least $120k in remodeling and repairs.

I remember a place where I worked, my boss was from Goa India, she always told me that with the money I have here I should move to India or other parts of the world and would live like a KING..........I should have taken her advice ! :D

In a heartbeat lol - But what about the language ? Also what about the weather, I'm sure I can buy a castle and 10 servants and have a nice giant swimming pool in my backyard and still have some spare change, oh well.... If it were not for the alleged criminals running the government and corrupted THIEVES (not going to name anybody in particular) I'm sure the style of living of most Canadians would be far better, and by corrupted I am talking about Canada........ Its healthcare, education, economy has gone to sh** at least for the most part certain provinces, whilst some provinces are doing better for themselves but the problem of street gang and crime has gone up skyrocket. How is it in Bulgaria overall ???

Well ... It's awesome, if you have the money :D .. The language is easy, but finding a decent job is a pain. Because if you come in Bulgaria with your money from Canada - it's okay, but when they run out you will be stuck in a situation. Because here lower class jobs pay less and it is VERY important to find a decent job.

It depends, if I can live like a king with my money as my old boss used to tell me, then I wonder how long the money would last living normally............ :D

I guess money is not everything sometimes you realise that you have it better where you are despite being robbed blind by the THIEVES / CROOKS / CORRUPTED SELFLESS/HEARTLESS people in power that got voted by people to represent OUR best interest and not that of their wallet and buddies wallet! lol. So to enjoy some of the perks, you have to be robbed a little - it's like offers here, to enjoy some earnings you have to accept being scammed a few times by the sponsors and affiliates that provide these offers, or earn $0 and not do any.

It's pretty expensive for a cheese and pepperoni pizza - Do you have Pizza Hut chains in India ? :)
