I keep looking at the retina macbook but they are so expensive! It would not be so bad my getting it except
the fact, I really don't need it. If I was away from home a lot, might be different. I have the 27". Also have
numerous laptops and a notebook.

New technology comes out so fast, it's difficult to keep up with it. I keep wondering what Apple is going to
come out with next.

I thought it was just me who was having problems with Chrome.
I uninstalled and re-installed it and now its better.

@Tuberlance - Did you remove all the previous Chrome files by removing the Chrome folder in the Applications Support folder in Library?

Perhaps then you need a fresh and clean install of your OS.

I am not sure but I guess the problem is with some extension.
Most probably you have your bookmarks and extension synced with your Google ID, and Chrome adds the extensions automatically as soon as you sync Chrome.
Try removing all your extensions and install them one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

Great

So it was indeed some extension which was causing the problem. Right?

Most welcome ;)

I am a long time Opera user but lately its got a lot of bugs and many sites don't load properly in it. They keep removing features which are useful to me with every update and add new ones which I don't use.

I have got so fed up with Opera that I too will shift to Chrome soon. Just have to prepare myself in the coming weeks because I've got so used to Opera and its lovely features like Notes, RSS and email client over the years.

Safari browser is crashing, any ideas?

I clicked a link in a CSR message, it crashed.

I clicked a link in a program, it crashed.

I have not figured out yet if it is some reason in particular why it is all of a sudden crashing.

Sea Monkey is the next generation of Netscape. It has the full suite of tools as did Netscape. :) I use it sometimes...

Valerie, wondering if you'd like this li'l news tidbit -- an open-source image program which has been available for Windows and Linux users, GIMP, is ready for MAC's Mountain Lion package

 Reference -- GIMP 2.8 for Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8) available — News — gimpusers.com

 GIMP Main site ( with front page news articles to view ) -- GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program

Oh cool! Not sure if I want it or not. These days, I take a lot of time researching what downloads offer and trying to decide if it is something I will truly use. I use to download most everything that was free. Needless to say, most of it I never used or it was something I could not figure out how to use. Seems like I had gimp years ago on a pc and I never used it. I'll have to look at this further. I've got a few picture images I messed up and gimp might work for me to fix those. Thanks.

I just did a clean install of Mountain Lion about an hour back.
With all the junk and crap gone, now my system is flying :)

But, I can't seem to install the ClixSense toolbar.
Tried these 2 links but one of them is completely outdated and the other one has a Windows installer.

  1. http://www.clixsense.ourtoolbar.com
  2. http://www.clixsense.com/en/Toolbar

Am I missing something?

Last time I installed the CS toolbar was more than a year back and I downloaded it from clixsense.ourtoolbar.com

But right now that page is outdated. So I am kind of lost where to install the toolbar from.
