Not sure either; must have been a fault on the Mozilla side since there were inquiries on their forums asking where's the new details of the update.

So far, the only noted change in the patch, after checking again, is:

WINE 1.8 is out. I normally only complain about other updates in this thread, but WINE 1.8 is really worth posting about.

WINE 1.8 implements CSMT (command stream multi-threading) which is, well, you don't need to understand it - it's a change to the graphic logic, and the upshoot for end users is the greatest performance gain I've ever seen between any two versions of any piece of software. I've been running the dev branch for months, and I'm playing Windows games on Linux that my computer isn't good enough to play natively on Windows.

If you've got a Mac,or you're on Linux, you can now run more Windows software than Windows can, and you can run it better.

Release Notes and download link. It will become available in most package managers over the next few days.

 Head's up -- Tech news

In regards to my earlier post ( as seen at: GT Distractions -- Time to check your Updates | ClixSense Forum ) -- it has been reviewed that some tech blogs are now keeping tabs over this -- by next week, before the estimated Microsoft 'Patch Tuesdays', all versions of Internet Explorer 8/9/10 will have no more security support; to date, only users that have IE11 ( for Win7 / Win8 / Win8.1 ) and EDGE ( Win10 ) will continue to have the necessary support.

Details of the tech news can be seen at the ArsTechnica:

 Head's up -- Tech update

In view of the upcoming Microsoft Security Updates, commonly known as "Patch Tuesdays", please do take note of a few things:

Microsoft may release kb3035583 once again -- this particular update preps your gear ( Win7/8/8.1 ) for Windows 10 -- but this time, according to some tech blogs, the said update has gone through major changes; among the changes is that it now identifies any changes in the registry to prevent any Win10 updates ( despite that Microsoft has offered the registry tweak beforehand for users )

This can be viewed at the Slashdot Tech blog ( along with it's viewer's responses ):

 Reference source -- 'Get Windows 10' Turns Itself On and Nags Win 7 and 8.1 Users Twice a Day - Slashdot

:!: Do make sure that you have set your Windows Update settings to manual, and not let it automatically download and install any without you reviewing them first

EDIT: Additional Tech news about kb3035583 cn also be viewed at InfoWorld Tech Blog:

 Reference source -- Banishing 'Get Windows 10' nagware isn't as easy as you think | InfoWorld

And finally, for Win8 users, this month may be the last -- according the InfoWorld tech blogs, Microsoft may begin to revoke any update security patches for the said OS unless they upgrade to either Win8.1 or Win10.

Details of this can be viewed below:

For the Kubuntu types, congratulations on choosing KDE, you chose wisely. But KDE 5 performance is still sucky with some cards. You probably want to try a live CD before updating (I think 15.04 is still KDE 4, right? If not, ignore me).
