Thanks, Tas! Having already spent all of my last pennies weeks before the final day, I think I will miss the penny a little bit. But not having to deal with prices and totals ending in .99 or other unusual digits would be a refreshing change. (Did you see this Google Doodle as well?)

The duplicate credit on that SSI survey had to be reversed, so my total earnings for yesterday was more like around $6.90. Yes, I did file a ticket over this. I could have secretly kept the extra 85¢ if I really wanted to get away with it, but the guys are so nice and honest with us that scamming them is just stupid.

fromsilentsky... I glad you got rid of your pennies. If I had to do that then I would have a few days to get them all out of my penny jars. I have 3 jars filled with all change...LOL.. I was always saving all my change for a cruise BUT I just found out that hubby is getting deployed AGAIN, this time to Korea and its for 1yr, so I won be going on a cruise this year... Dang it... That is what I have to expect while being a army wife..

The Canadian government had announced its intention to put an end to pennies almost a year ago (late March 2012). Pennies are still accepted as legal tender; however, they’re no longer produced or distributed to retailers. But if you were in this situation now, you won’t need to get rid of them that quickly because businesses need time to adjust to life without these things, which will probably take months.

I think it was just an unusual payment bug resulting from my completing two surveys on two SSI routers (the 85¢ one on the main ClixSense wall and the 42¢ one through Peanut Labs) that night. When I attempt qualifying for SSI surveys, I usually try to get the higher amount first and end up getting disqualified on the other one. Being paid twice for a survey is no different than a cashier giving you extra change. No big deal—getting over a dollar in referral commissions the next day made up for it. I probably would have felt more guilty if I never said anything.

Didn't really get on Clixsense for too long so my bonus was small haha. Decided to cash out though

Oh so they can still use their pennies.. It will run out someday then.. While we was stationed in Europe, we could not use pennies there on the army post so I kinda know how it all works, but if my total came to 4.94 then I only paid 4.90, but if my total came to 4.96 then I would have to pay 5.00. Make sense?
