Can I do this?

Hi everyone. So while sitting here waiting for hurricane Isaac to pass over us I was thinking of ways to gain more referrals. I got a creative idea, but I don't know what my limitations are on doing this. I want to make business size cards with my referral link and some ClixSense information on them. My question and concern is, where can I leave these things at without getting in trouble? I don't want to get in trouble for littering or public spamming?? (is that even the name of a crime??)

The first thing you should do is NOT place your ClixSense affiliate link on the cards.
Instead, go to TinyUrl dot com and get a free short redirect, use that for your ClixSense affiliate link.

Yes, some places it is against the law to leave flyers/promo items. However, there are places that
usually do not care such as laundry mats and post office bulletin boards and also some grocery stores
have bulletin boards.

When in doubt, simply ask the institution if it is ok to leave your card/cards.

Good idea. I went even as far as thinking of posting flyers door to door in people's mailbox.

Here in the US, it's against the law to enter another persons mailbox to place a flyer. The recipient of the flyers can take legal action against them.

Why shouldn't I include my normal referral link?

Because people will cut it off. They'll type in clixsense dot com

I see. I thought you meant it was some kind of legal issue.

So aside from all the places I have to ask to leave the card, where can I place them where I don't have to ask permission?

It's very simple really. You can post them on bulletin boards where ever you see bulletin boards.

Hi,
I found that leaving business cards on the counters of restaurants, clothing stores, lottery shops works well and it's a great way to gain referrals. Good luck.

What a great idea! I've been struggling on how to get referrals, its the only part of clixsense that I haven't got the hang of yet.

If you are a friendly type of person who strikes up conversations while in line at the bank or grocery store, keep a few cards in your wallet. When you direct conversation to paid to whatever, and how you can make legitimate money from the computer, hand them a card. i do that with a web site I belong to that has a free list of hundreds of sites to make money on line. I helps people realize that lots of sites aren't the scams the news sometimes makes them out to be.
