I think your correct to one big extent but also I think there were a lot of people afraid of Ryan. Why candidates choose who they choose for their running mate, is beyond me. I don't think anyone could see Ryan as president and of course if something happen to Romney, that is exactly who would be president. I also think that a lot of people were unsure as to what exactly Romney and Ryan would do.....they did not relay any infinitive plans and to top it off, many were afraid they would knock out SSI altogether.
I didn't vote for Obama the first time and I didn't vote for him this time either. Hopefully we'll have a better 4 years than the previous but some how, I think it's going to be a lot worse.
