Now this was a surprising find -- checking over the many online news, I found one that might ( hopefully ) grab the attention of those who use Ubuntu

Linux will now be adapted into smartphones

 News Reference Source -- BBC News - Ubuntu operating system comes to Android smartphones

Hopefully, BBC and ob are not kidding with me

That's a great step. I like the part "......replacing Android......" To the extent I knew, Android is the powerful platform ever designed for Tablets ( and smartphones ) and now here comes the Ubuntu replacing Android :o

Did you check this -- Mozilla — Firefox OS — mozilla.org

:o Now that I didn't see ( until now, that is ) -- Didn't know that Mozilla will be vying for a Smartphone OS as well -- that's good news, now that there's going to be a lot of choices for many users in the upcoming mobile market

Oh, that news snippet I found at the BBC News site was indeed out of curiosity, dax -- glad it got your attention

All that's needed now is to wish that Smartphones got a ( way ) bit more cheaper...

 Knew there was a related link there in regards to Ubuntu there too -- the one that has a link to the Business Insider news article at the sentence section: "In addition, Linux vendor Ubuntu has created its own smartphone operating system based on the open software platform"

No wonder there's an interest for other OS into the Mobile market ( which is the very keyword businesses want ) -- 'alternative choices' ;)

*Offhand: guess it's a way to avoid a lengthy legal issues -- like the one between Microsoft and Apple mentioned in the article, as well as the one Samsung was in with Apple on another level*
