That's why I don't bother with referrals, most become inactive !

I rely on my own efforts :D

I have 2, had 3 referrals, 1 got suspended due to inactivity and the 2 are sporadic.

I tried referring people but the moment they notice the 8 level downline, they call it a pyramid / scam / MMLM / PONZI.......:P So I stopped referring.

34 total, 29 active of which 4 are 'premium' upgraded. Around 7 are regular daily visitors.

Level 2: 31
Level 3: 22

Well I make $8-$12 a day from my own efforts so Referrals won't help me much. I stopped trying long ago. I do blog and stuff but getting referrals is not my main thing to do. They either join or they don't. I'll still make money from ClixSense either way :)

'Power of 3' is all my own work, did some maths one day and realised the potential.

Can't believe some people don't bother with referrals, I have worked out that for every $0.01 I earn myself on my PTCs, I am averaging $0.30 from my referrals... so if I earn $1 myself, it is worth $30 on average.

Being a 'loner' on ClixSense still gives a good income, but having referrals is key to serious money. Yes, some referrals will be useless (I have many) but it's the good ones that make referring worthwhile.

Hi marjank0,

I do this...

Use sites like Clicksia or Incentria to promote referral sign-up offers - generally 'join ClixSense - be active 4 days' offers where you want them to to click ads AND complete offers/tasks - in return for a $0.20 reward.

However, the twist is that I promote my referral's ClixSense URLs as well so that my referrals get referrals, and if a lower level referral is very active I promote their ClixSense URLs. NOTE: NEVER promote your level 8 referrals as you can monitor their referrals activity.

Always ensure you get e-mail addresses of those signing up to the offers.

The thinking behind this is... if my referrals get referrals when doing nothing to promote ClixSense, they then start actively promoting ClixSense and end up getting their own referrals. Same thinking on lower level referrals.

During the '4 days' e-mail your sign-ups, introduce yourself and include 'The Power of 3' either directly or linked to the forum page you visited before. One reason why I posted 'The Power of 3' in the forum - it is on ClixSense and others have commented positively.

Approx. 1 in 10 referrals will be motivated to follow the ideas and over time upgrade to premium, you earn $2 for each direct referral who upgrades, plus $1 for every upgrade in levels 2 to 8. Go back to the Clicksia/Incentria offers... you pay $2 for 10 referral sign-ups, 1 upgrades ($2), all have been active ($? - 20% of activity) meaning one good referral has effectively cost nothing. Levels 2 to 8 are different, you only get $1 for each upgrade (call this your 'loss leader' as $2 in sign-up payments returns $1 (1 in 10 rule)) but over time others will upgrade because of the referrals they have below them.

Of course, this means, over time 'The Power of 3' will naturally happen.

In your case, I would promote the following on Clicksia/Incentria (need to buy 300 sign-up credits for $50 - this gives 150 '$0.20' offers):
10 slots each for your 5 most active direct (Level 1) referrals - that is 50 '$0.20' offers.
10 slots each for your 5 most active Level 2 referrals - that is another 50 '$0.20' offers. 100 so far.
8 slots each for your 5 most active Level 3 referrals - that is another 40 '$0.20' offers. 140 so far.
2 slots each for your 3 Level 4 referrals - that is another 6 '$0.20' offers. 146 so far.
2 slots each for your 2 Level 5 referrals - that is another 4 '$0.20' offers. 150 in total.

Think about yourself too... maybe another 300 sign-up credits for $50 and a '$0.20' offer - over time you get 150 referrals, of which 15 would generally be 'good' referrals.

I can't place links in this post, but please visit my website (type '' in your browser, click 'earn money' tab then at bottom of page go to 'testing' to find links to Clicksia/Incentria or you can e-mail me at [removed] if you need more assistance.

You have their e-mail addresses (by their user names), thinking about sending an e-mail to encourage them. Mention your earnings, site potential etc... even offer 'free upgrade' to most active referral in a month. That usually stirs up some activity.

@ptcscrutiny - ref: post #16.

Apologies if you find leaving links and email unacceptable, but I want to help ClixSense members make the most of the ClixSense site, and some would see your editing as unacceptable, so in reality there is a difference of opinions... mine, yours, everyone... which can't be helped.

I would argue that bringing more people into ClixSense is good for ClixSense, and the link would do that, yes I benefit but so do all ClixSense members and ClixSense itself.

Your edit has now caused the last paragraph of my post to be meaningless... without the link there is no point having the rest (e.g. 'earn money' tab and 'testing'), so you may as well edit the edit by deleting the last paragraph entirely.

Is it OK to ask people to search for 'MJW Promotions' on google etc..., then visit the 'earn money' and 'testing' pages?

Sharing tips and strategies is fine but if you are looking to drive people to your blog either directly or indirectly (through Google), then please consider buying ad.
Because if one does it, then everyone will start doing the same. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Please don't post email addresses and don't leave direct links or links with a .com like you did in your post.

@ptcscrutiny - ok, understood now.

It seems more people read the forum then the ads though, as I've tried the advertising route with no results. I guess that is due to 'forced' reading to be paid for viewing an ad compared to 'choosing' to read forum posts.
