I find if you download the tool bar,won't miss many ads and your earnings will increase.But if you don't want to, I find logging in and checking for ads every half hour or so.
Also I stay logged in and can see if any ads have popped up while nerfing other sites.Clixsense is so popular that you will see some one advertising it somewhere.
