What do you do for a living?

I run my own company and spend around 4 hours of every day promoting ClixSense and the other PTC/money earning sites we have accounts with. Many sites have minimum requirements that you have to complete each day to qualify for referral earnings. I tend to split the '4 hours' across the day to give myself a break from the PC.

In addition to having accounts on PTC/money earning sites, I also promote on behalf of others, this may be anything from helping others promote their PTC/money earning sites to full scale worldwide promotion (e.g. rock bands). My company can promote anything, and usually our clients are very happy with the results.

THEREFORE...

I would be interested to know what other ClixSense members do for their living.

Please remember... no links or contact details can be left in the forum.

WHAT?? - Yes, I named my company (which I have now removed).... but NO, I left no links or contact details!!!

What is your problem?

For example, someone who replies might work at Microsoft - are you saying that they can not mention Microsoft when replying?

Anyway, my company is known worldwide, I don't need to leave links or contact details.

Here is the jest of it, ClixSense is a company that pays it's members for viewing advertisements and additional ways to earn too. However, any way you look at it, someone is paying ClixSense to display their ads. It is not fair to the advertiser for members to promote their programs, companies, blogs, websites, contact details, etc., freely. What would be the point of advertisers paying for ad displays when they could go to the forum and advertise for free? And then what would be the point of ClixSense being a business at all, when it would become nothing more than a free for all forum in which no one would take anyone serious?

So bottom-line, it's just common sense. The forums here are not for promoting in any shape form or fashion. The forums here are for members to learn about ClixSense, how it works, how they can earn. The forums are also a great way to keep updated on ClixSense happenings, new implements, additional ways to earn, by reading the updates and news sections. The forums are also a great way to get answers to not so difficult questions by utilizing the support forums here. Another great aspect of the ClixSense forums is the fact members can display their earnings and payouts which relays to newer members and potential members ClixSense is an honest company. There is also the general discussions in which members can have a little fun, play their word games, and ask questions in general.

Since you've been a member for several months, have made over 50 posts, you should be well aware of the forum rules.

Yes, valerie, I know the rules... but if you care read the title of the forum post it states: "What do you do for a living?" then I described what I do, then I asked others to say what they do.

There is NO company promotion, NO links and NO contact details - BECAUSE I KNOW THE RULES!!!

Yes, I know I mentioned [my company name] at first - that is who I work for, just like someone who works at Burger King might mention Burger King, it is not advertising to mention [my company name] or Burger King in a forum post that asks "What do you do for a living?"

Your rant is totally pointless... you may have been a member for over 6 years and have made over 5,600 posts, but ClixSense is not all about you, some people (like myself) have an interest in the ClixSense community and knowing what ClixSense members do for a living is something I am interested in.

Is that really a problem? By the way, to help, the answer is NO!!

And if you feel I am being rude, that is your entitled opinion, but quite frankly I find being ranted at for no reason rude too.

My post is not a rant. It is information for all members that read this thread.
As the previous moderator stated to you and myself, relaying your company name is not allowed just like posting your company name on your avatar is not allowed, etc, etc, etc.

Topic is locked.
