Hi,
I open this topic caus i read a topic by valerie that was closed, but wanted to see how time has changed around the globe with salaries. Her post is Here

I live in a greate country called Norway, here it is easy to get a good job and get paid very good.
It is a very expensive country to live in because of high taxes and prices.

I checked online and found out this about the Norwegian salaries.

Average annual salary in Norway in 2012 was NOK 453,000 or about USD 75,847
So the norwegian salary divided down:

Yearly : USD 75,847
Monthly: USD 6,321 - 12 monts / holiday 4-5 weeks/year
Daily : USD 301 - average 21 working days pr month
Hourly : USD 37 - average 8 hour day included 30 minutes lunch

Taxes = 20 - 60% depending on yearly income.

Numbers basesed on goverment surveys.

A lot of foreigners a coming to Norway to get work. they come from Poland, sweden, denmark, spain, portugal and a lot of other countries.

So how about your country?

Best regards

Actually, the minimum wage in the USA, can vary greatly from state to state.
In the state I live in, Tennessee, there is no minimum wage. Unless it's been changed and I don't know it,
which is very possible.

The real question is, cost of living. If a job pays you $100,000 a year and the average mortgage payment
is $100,000 a year, then it might not be such a great place to live.

When thinking about the USA, as a norm, employment in the Southern states can often be harder to get
a job in addition, the jobs are usually lower wage. Whereas if you go to the Northern states in the USA, you'll
usually find a higher pay scale and higher chances of getting work.

Just GUESSING I'd say the average person in the USA that does not have some sort of professional skills job,
probably takes home approximately $300 per week give or take some dollars dependent upon the job.

The pay scale in the USA, varies HUGELY depending on the persons location, experience, job skills, type of
job/profession, and of course education.
