Guys i dont think that is the case here, look at the image below. the first two referrals i have highlighted already earned me that $0.50 sign-up commission(past) and now the new $1.

the thing is that $0.50 sign-up commission(past) will not add up in the total they have earned for me.

Quote:* This includes earnings from approved Offers, Tasks and PTC Clicks only. This does not include commissions, bonuses and prizes such as ClixGrid and the Daily Checklist Bonus.

look at my 3rd referral from the top. he didn't earn me that $1 retroactive sign-up commission, but he will in the future because that $6.2944 he earned me in total also contains the $0.50 in the past (old sign-up commission). when he earns $5 excepting the $0.50 commission that he earned in the past then i will get the $1 from him :)

more example :

regardless of the $0.50 sign-up commission that he has earned me earlier. CMIIW.

I don't think so because the sign-up bonus system was once changed in the past too. Announcement
Back then, those referrals which already earned the sponsor the sign commission, didn't earn the sponsor the commission the second time.

Also your referral has earned you $3.7944 meaning he has personally already earned $9.486 from PTC ads. (Just multiply the referral earnings by 2.5 to get how much you referral has personally earned).
So your referral has already earned over $5 and if the system was set to give commissions the second time, you would have already received it.

It's very simple.

First of all, it only pertains to your active direct referrals. So if you have signed up people that
are not active, forget about it. They are not active.

Second, it pertains to only your active direct referrals and when they have accumulated the
amount of earnings stated they need to accumulate, at that time you will earn the sign up
bonus as stated for standard/premium members.

Third, it is retroactive so if you have direct referrals that are active and those direct referrals
have already earned the amount stated in order for you to get the new sign up bonus, you
will be credited the additional new sign up bonus. If you got paid .50 cents on them before
you will now get the other .50 cents on them.....in regards to you being a premium member.

Fourth, if you have direct referrals that are active and you have not received the dollar as
stated it is because those direct referrals have not accumulated $5 in earnings yet.

Yes it is true. He said it is retroactive.

I don't know if they are going thru some of these manually or what so they may not
be done with it.

Reply from help desk
If you were already credited for the old 50 cents commission you won't get credited for the new commission. By retroactive we just meant that you will get paid the new bonus for your old referrals, but only for those who have not yet triggered the old 50 cents commission.

So the no retroactive bonus for me.. ;)

I guess what he is saying that if you hadn't already received a bonus
on your direct referrals as a sign up commission, you will when they
make the $5. In other words, retro in that they had already signed
up under you.

In other words lets take a couple of examples:

Sam joined a couple of months ago and has made a whopping $200.
You got the $0.50 commission.

Will you now make another $0.50 commission on Sam?
No

Why?
Because Sam was already a member and you had already made the $0.50 cents.

Now lets look at Alice

Alice joined a couple of months ago. Alice has not committed herself much and
you have not made the sign up commission on her yet. However, IF and WHEN
Alice commits to making at least $5.00 as a premium member you will be paid
$1.00

So the retroactive comes in as in 'already being a member' but not having earned
enough activity money to have generated a sign up commission to the sponsor.
