You've witnessed history. A nice story to tell your grandchildren.
Sachin got a nice gift earlier this year when he turned 40

Congrats!
But this current 7 match ODI series makes really no sense. Its just to mint money for the cricket boards.
Instead they could have had a 3 match T20 and a 3 match ODI series. 7 ODIs is an overkill for both - players as well as the fans.
So far, I have only watched Sachin play live once. This match against SriLanka in Pune :
4th ODI: India v Sri Lanka at Pune, Nov 3, 2005 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
And the only lasting memory was his stumps being shattered by a Vaas delivery.
So BCCI has finally announced the venues for the West Indies series and as expected, Eden Gardens gets to host the 199th while Wankhade gets to host Sachin's 200th and final test.
Fingers crossed, I hope he doesn't emulate Bradman in his final innings
