Many years back, when I would work in the office, once I went into the manager's cabin and I found a document/paper which said "the client pays 25 cents to our company for processing each resume". My department would process 4000 to 8000 resumes each day. That comes to $2000 worth of resumes processed each day by us.
My salary was $150/month and my designation was "production executive". That company would earn $50,000/month from our department and their expenses must be $5000.
The company earned $50,000/month so my salary and my colleagues salary should have been $800/month each..
80% employees left the company for other jobs and I resigned because of less salary.
When I resigned, my replacement was a rural boy who did not know computers and he needed money because of family debts. I told him to do commercial fishing. So when I left the job, my replacement also resigned for fishing or other jobs.
After few months somebody told me that the manager was processing resumes since they must not be getting new employees
