Hi,
Is anyone getting a head start on their taxes? I always do mine electronically. This is the first year I made money from Clixsense to have to file and I don't have Clixsense's Federal Tax ID number. Would someone be willing to check their records from last year? I'd really appreciate it.

I am aware of that. Thanks. I just thought that someone would be doing their taxes and have the info from their last years taxes and be willing to give it to me. When you file electronically, you don't need to send a copy of the w-2s or 1099s because the info is sent electronically to the IRS.

Does anyone have their last years 1099 and give me the numbers? That is the only thing I need. Thanks!

You can look in your profile and see if it requests your social security number.
As far as I know, it's only the USA and they don't ask for it until you've made
$600.00.

Each person is responsible for his or her own tax's, however.

I have to do all my paypal income every year. Don't matter if i get anything from clixsense or not.

Actually since last year was my last year for a child tax credit the income i earned last year online will help me earn more than i did the year before thanks for right offs and losses.

Always save the PDF files each month paypal gives. you. I save mine to flash and then turn in with all other stuff to tax guy. They do a great job and get me the max each year since i keep good records.

It works differently in Canada. I think after a certain amount $600 (?) PayPal sends the info to the IRS.

Since you are not an employee of CS, these revenues would fall under misc/other, so you are entirely
responsible to file your own taxes. For Canada, no, you don't receive a slip neither does the site or payment processor report your revenues, so it all comes down to good faith :D For Canada, when doing your taxes, you would file this under "other" sources of income. Remember, it's not self-employment or employment revenues but other, and there you can specify "online earnings". You don't have to specify the site or anything. Usually
they will not ask for documentation, but depending on the amount or at their discretion if they do random audits
they may ask more questions, your payment processor history will act as reference and proof of income.
Whether US or Canada, income from ALL sources have to be filed, and revenues from ALL sources are added up
to form your income for that tax year.

North America is headed for bankruptcy, what's the use of paying taxes anyway, if only for corruption !

Imagine if tax money was used the way it was supposed to be used and meant to be used from day 1.....
it would be a totally different world today. It's amazing that we let such sheer incompetence RUIN the continent.
This goes for both US and Canada that are plagued with colossal debt, deficit and corruption laden governments. :D

Crooks get a share of your hard earned money. And we are all reminded that when comes time to do our taxes :D

I hope you realize that any money earned online whether it was earned in the US, Canada or anywhere else does need to be reported as earnings here in Canada. It is considered business income and is taxable.

However running your own home business does have its perks if you are legally registered as a company in the province you reside.

Did you know the shear amount of write off's you are entitled to by spending the $60 every 5 years for your business name and running a small business from home?

I have been working online now for the past 6 years and with my write off's the tax I actually pay on my online income is minor compared to the benefits I get in return.

Putting it in your daughters name or hiding it in a Paypal account does not protect you forever I hope you realize that. But to each their own but I would recommend that you really look into what you are actually earning online compared to the amount you will actually pay after the expenses.

I am able to claim 20% of my rent, hydro, internet, phone not to mention 100% of any advertising, business supplies etc.

That amount comes right off anything I earn of which any balance there would be at that point I would end up paying my share of taxes on.

Do the math my friend as if your stats truly reflect what you are actually earning by not telling the government you are actually throwing away rebates.
