aha, discovered the post a new topic!!!

In Cana :oops: da we are having such awfully cold weather that a lot of times the internet either goes off completely or intermittently, right in the middle of a task or whatever one is doing.

I'm in Ontario, I notice tasks are not being completed as much, the Canadian flag shows me, so I suppose I am not the only one with this problem

On top of that I changed to Distributel from Bell, DON'T, I am now waiting for my third lynxsys (it goes with the modem) and have had to pay for December and January and have often been without phone, internet or netlfix, we don't have cablevision, (and am still without phone).

they say they will credit me, can you imagine? I have not had good service since the tech guy walked out of the door and they want me to pay anyway!!

Anyway, I'm going to look for a task now.

I still don't understand Valerie's instructions on how to highlight etc. doh!

Oh I learned my lesson a long time ago to stay far away from internet offered by phone companies. Old copper wire infrastructure, fluctuating internet services, weather related issues, bad service etc.

I've been on cable for a very long time now, internet cable, wires and cables were all properly installed outside and inside, well insulated, proper job, never any interruption . We've had colds up to -40 ~ -44 C recently and internet
is still going strong, 30mbit ! :D Barely any snow now, so it's almost all melted but the cold, it's unreal......:P

As far as tasks there is a lot of weird stuff going on, and I did my research on this and will not discuss this here on the forum. Yes I too have the Canadian flag and don't notice many tasks, barely any, I have 95% global accuracy, and all my badges and part of the skilled crowd, so aren't I along with others in the same situation supposed to get more tasks ? Yet I see so many countries listed where normally there are no tasks, and where the same countries on most other forums are complaining of no tasks. So yeah, the way CF distributes tasks is very unfair for starters but there is another aspect to this which I will not discuss.

Hang in there mate, the only thing you can do is keep checking regularly and hope for the best.

As far as bad service I can relate to that I have dealt with incompetent sh*** for years when I had my internet with my phone provider, now I am with cable, if there is any problem it gets resolved quickly, and in over 12 years with internet, maybe once or twice issues and it was fixed the same day !

Companies are quick to sell you their sh** but once they are out the door and get their bloody commission, you better hope you never have problems because you'll have to beg them to fix it........ :D Not the case with my cable provider though, although there are a few rotten apples - but I rather choose the company with the least rotten apples :D
