List Of Scams

Locked

#1 by KidmanForever » Sat Jun 14, 2014 07:02

I have been going through some of the topics in the forum, and i guess it would be nice if we had a list of all the known / confirmed scammy programs and schemes on the internet, or at least sorted out from the ones that are being advertised to us on a daily basis.
Such a list would be highly beneficial to all the new members, since getting off the mark on Clixsense obviously can take a while, and the temptation of easy money can lead to members becoming disillusioned and stop trying altogether. In fact, such programs are what lead to the ruining of the reputation of legit sites like Clixsense itself.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.
PS: Not a feature request.

Do you realize how long a scam list of all scams on the internet would be?

It would consist of millions upon millions of listings!

So the thing to do if you are concerned about anything you see, is:

1) Use Common Sense
2) Research
3) Talk with the administration directly
4) Never spend money you can't laugh about losing
5) See Proof
6) How's that wonderful personality?

There is a lot of things you can do to save yourself from scams. I am often
amazed at how many people get caught up in scams. Even very intelligent
and very wealthy people, lose their butt to scams.

Notice number (6) on my list. People that seemingly have wonderful personalities
are not always what they appear to be. The best personalities in the world are owned
by top notch con artists.

people will argue and debate, defending what they believe. xD

just stick with the forum rule; topic about other program not related directly with ClixSense is a No. if you find (in clixsense) that certain ad is inappropriate, refer to user agreement and report it if needed.

but Kidman, there is no scam nor legit in the online business, only a system that is proven stable and unstable. so when you find something like "turn your $ 2 into thousands - with this ebook, you can.". you pay for it, and in the ebook you only find how to make a splash page with payment processor api and promote your page, and sell an ebook (lol yes, resell the ebook). will you call it scam? but the guy might have tens or hundreds in his pocket by selling that ebook ($2 of them is yours).

Most internet money making sites are usually about coaching people which can also cost you a fee. Just stick to the free newsletters until you can make your own decision.
All the best for the future

Unfortunately making a Thread here wouldn't be a good idea, since it'll be up against the Forum rules; something like this idea is best in a Blog article

Does anyone remember PI* ( *name of site abbreviated, please don't mention the full name of the site ) -- It once started as a blog article, then as the owner started to sign up with other programs, went on to review them as well for both Pros and Cons; from a simple one-page site, it grew into a multi-paged review site with a huge following of both Guests and Members -- PI was one of the few sites to know if something was legit or scam, until it's change of hands late last year ( now, under a new owner, is starting from scratch -- so most of the old data was wiped clean )

Again, making a list here in the ClixSense Forums as a Thread article -- nope, please don't; creating a blog article on the many social networking sites ( Blogger, Wordpress, etc ) maintaining it, and creating a niche -- that can be acceptable**

**just don't go posting your blog address on the Forums, because that can be considered under "self-advertisment"

There certainly is scams but a good point brought up about stable and unstable.

Even today, the internet is still a very very young place. People from all walks of life, get
online, seeking ways to make money. Many of these people are in fact, honest people.
However, many of the honest people, know very little about business.

Some times and honest person starts a business online but it fails. That does not mean
the business or program was a scam, just because it failed.

I do find it alarming that most people appear to not know what a scam is.

Soooo a good idea is to not only watch out for scams, but watch out for what may not
be a sound business/program.

Haha. Good question. I cant speak for the scammers or anyone else, but personally, if i made that much money with little or no effort, i wouldnt know what to do with it in the first place.

Thank you for your opinions everyone. It means a lot :)

Yes i know the request was against the rules. Sorry. Will be more careful next time around.
Yes i know the list will be extremely long. Guess i didnt think of that.

Lastly, since i know most dont know, "Kidman" is the name of the superhero in my own comic series. That's why i joined Clixsense afterall, cuz i needed funds to put him online. But that's a story for the success stories topic, i guess.

PS: Kid is read in reverse :P
