I Gave My Referral Premium Upgrade

Locked

#1 by ReeseWardley » Sun Sep 07, 2014 14:21

I am slightly bemused at this, ok

I have had a referral since August 2013, active, clicking every day, so I decided to reward them, buy upgrading them, I did this FIVE weeks ago, since I made them premium they have stopped clicking and vanished.

Would you find this strange?

If I was given free 1 year premium I would make full use of it, I wouldn't waste it.

I was trying to reward all my downline with FREE premium as a big thank you for being active.

But it looks like I shouldn't bother now

Anyone else give away free 1 year premium and find it a mistake to do this?

I've never had much luck with upgrading someone, in anything. It's as if they see it as a free
hand out and then assume they don't need to do anything else. I'm not saying everyone is that
way. I'll just say that for the most part, it never has worked for me.

It's never a good idea to upgrade people especially if you have had no contact with them. The
best thing to do is to enter into an unsigned contract with them. In other words, you should
email them directly first. If there is not an email by their name, I absolutely would not upgrade
them. If there is an email by their name, I would contact them and if they don't reply, I would
not upgrade them.

The only way I would upgrade them is if I had contact with that member and the member agreed
to a specific amount of work. For example, once I had earned $17 from that members activity, then
I would upgrade that member. Some sort of contract like that. You work, I upgrade your account
if you want me to but I need to see at least $17 worth of earnings otherwise, it is not worth it for
me to upgrade you.

I believe in rewarding my downline if they work hard for me earn me good money, then that shouldn't got unnoticed.

In the past it did work, I have managed to upgrade 6 of my downline and all of them have continued to be active, that is why I find this particular referral strange because they stopped.

Valerie you are right, when I checked this particular referral has no email beside them, but I took gamble, I mean active every single day for a year, that's gotta be worth something... surely?

Oh well, we have to take gambles in this life, otherwise there are no rewards.

But I will definitely take into account what you have said.

I have already got enough in my account to upgrade my next active member, but I shall see if they have an email to contact.

Or failing that I could put it in my welcome message? Whether people read them or not that if they are active please be patient I will upgrade them.

Check the User Agreement

Sponsor Changes - The changing of or removing an affiliate sponsor is not permitted. The management of ClixSense may at its discretion allow the changing of a sponsor, IF and only if the affiliate does not have a sponsor assigned or the current sponsor has been inactive for more than 90 days. There are no exceptions to this rule. ClixSense strongly suggests that you do not close your account and open a new one so you can change your sponsor. ClixSense can at our own discretion not allow this activity to happen, especially if its to join a team.

Well here is another thing.....it is only $17.00.

I mean my gosh. If a person is truly interested in making easy money,
it doesn't take them long to earn $17.00. There are members here with
0 referrals making a lot of extra money and cashing out once and even
twice every week.

You can do what you want but I say, change your mentality. You don't
owe people anything simply because they enrolled at your ref link. IF
anything, just the opposite. You introduced to them a way to earn extra
money for free and even at the low upgrade, very easy to reach without
even taking any money out of pocket.

I believe the option to upgrade a member is a nice feature. I see it as
mostly handy for people that truly know their referral.....a family member,
long time friend, etc.

Look at all the ways they can earn cash and it truly doesn't take long for
$17 to accumulate. Of course there are few countries that perhaps don't
receive many tasks or offers. As a general rule however, most can make
the $17 readily if they really want to.

I have taken out a week to create a Clixsense handbook
for referrals who joined under my link. Those who join under
my referral link get to download the ebook I made for free.
This ebook I made is like a "how to guide" to teach my referrals about this
site and how things work. I learned teaching others about this
site will get you more active members. Since the ebook I have
more active referrals, and even referrals that know this site well
enough to go off and get their own referrals as well. I then
ask others to share this ebook with those they get to sign up
through their referral link. It will help their referrals learn this site better.
I even told them a way to get referrals easy, which is the magic to building
and making this site a place to depend on and love to be part of the community.
I explain to those who sign under me "if you get 5 other active referrals to join under your
link; I will upgrade you to a premium member for free if you're active". But you must have
5 referrals under your account before I will upgrade your account. That's my tactic on how
I will upgrade my referrals for free....

I just upgrade my 2 downlines too and they still remain active. It is only $15 if you upgrade your downline.

Nice strategy! You motivate them to work then be rewarded so that you can work and earn together as well as grow and build your network as well. Everybody is happy! I wish I could have one of that Clixsense handbook.

The ebook is a good idea.

People often need some sort of plan or instructions.

Most people are taught all their lives to go by some sort of rules and most people all their lives,
have some sort of boss. The boss might be at their work place offline or it might be an educational
instructor or it might be mom or dad, etc. In other words, people are following some sort of plan
of action....

---wash the dishes after supper
---put the clothes in the dryer
---only talk on the phone ten minutes
---clock in no later than 7:00 am
---pick up the pay check on Fridays

It's really no different online in regards to making income.

Signing up a million people may not do you any good at all.

But you take a good page that bullets/lists instructions and displays proof, you'll come more likely
to getting an active referral then a lookie loo.

Exactly same thing happened to me. I upgraded a referral and the person stopped clicking. I contacted my referral thinking that if I let them know that they're upgraded they might come back. My referral said that they were not interested any more so I contacted support asking them if they could refund the money so that I can use it for advertising. Support was happy to refund and as promised I used it up for advertising.

Try contacting the referral first, sometimes if they have not logged in for a while it's possible that they don't know about the upgrade.
If the referral is not interested contact support and ask them for a refund. In my case I had decided to give it back to the site by using it for advertising, you can also do the same.

Good luck.

Mate, I feel your frustration, and yes maybe just a coincidence though I would find it quite strange, it's not as if you gave them money and they ran away, so indeed it is strange.......Though I don't know the details of your referral, was he/she active in the sense tasks, offers, etc ? or only clicking ads ? I think rewarding a referral in that respect would require far more than clicking just ads in my opinion as a good referral can make you very good earnings if they are active in tasks and offers like some here.

I'm one of those users who is very active and committed as you can see from my stats, and my upline rewards me by giving me back 75% of his commissions through RCB, every month and it does add up quite nicely.

So I believe that RCB is the most fair reward to give for a referral........This is a win-win.......

They are not active = you don't pay
They are very active = you pay

the reward they get is a % of your take or a variation on some other rules but it is FAIR and zero risk to you.

I much prefer the RCB route ! For one of my referral to be rewarded with a $17 prize (actually, if you think about it, it is less than $17 as you get $2 back right ??? :) That referral would have to be exceptionally amazing.

Though keep in mind everyone wants to make money and tasks/offers is not a given for everyone......But FAIR is FAIR....

I don't know if there is a way for CS to reverse that premium gift if that referral of yours is not active within X amount of time.......Perhaps you should give it some time and see.......It would also have been wise to send a message to your referral informing them of the reward - MAYBE, just maybe that referral had no will to continue.

Cheers and best of luck.

And yes......... sometimes in life you lend a helping hand and go out of your way and you get bitten in the arse.

I have much experience in the field.

Cheers
