There are two types of PTC: Honest and ponzi. Clixsense is an honest PTC because they pay you from the money of advertisers and other businesses, not from users investments.

Someone post an ad and they pay Clixsense. Someone sends a survey and they pay Clixsense. Crowflower post a job and they pay Clixsense. So, when you click an ad, complete a survey or work on tasks, Clixsense pays you a part of the money they get. In other words, you are paid by your work.

Other sites post an ad from a forex broker. When you click they pay you $0.01 to you and, if you are a rented refereral, $0.01 to your sponsor. That's $0.02 every single day. If the PTC has 1,000,000 rented referrals that means over $7,000,000 a year! However, they only get money from that forex broker when a user sign up and makes a deposit. So, it's impossible to get $7,000,000 a year from comissions from that broker. So, this model of PTC is unsustainable. They are ponzi bussinesses and they only last as long as users invest much more than what they withdraw. So, you invest your money, build a downline and when you are about to get profit the site turns into scam. I'm sure this has happened to many of you.

So, money doesn't grow in the trees. Don't trust fast-earning PTC sites, don't trust sites that seem to good to be true, and don't trust the sites that pay you big bucks from watching the same self-sponsored ads day after day. Only trust the PTCs that pay you for doing REAL jobs (trust, surveys, offers...)
