Hello axeandashes, welcome to ClixSense :)

Yes, you can do the tasks as a newbie, until you get your first level badge you can work on any tasks available to you in order to build up your accuarcy to gain your first level badge.

These are the requirements for level badges:

Level 1: Contributors in level 1 have completed over 100 test questions across a variety of job types, and have an accuracy of at least 70%.
A maximum of 5 minor flags, a maximum of 0 major flags.

Level 2: Contributors in level 2 have completed over 100 test questions across a variety of job types, and have an accuracy of at least 80%.
A maximum of 0 minor flags, a maximum of 0 major flags.

Level 3: Contributors in level 3 have completed over 100 test questions across a variety of job types, and have an accuracy of at least 85%.
A maximum of 0 minor flags, a maximum of 0 major flags.

When you are doing a task, you can click on your "Dashboard" at the top right hand corner of your screen, then click on your name. It will tell you here what your accuracy is, and what level badge you are.

Keep working away and build up your accuracy, and also you can check the task forum for helpful hints and tips. If there are any tasks that you don't feel comfortable working on, you can click on the "give up" button at the top of your screen.

I hope this has helped you and happy tasking
