Don't feel bad, you're not alone.

Last year I paid my monthly trash bill that is $18.00.
At the same time I paid my monthly electric bill.
Same as you, online bill pay.

I paid the correct amounts but incorrect order.
The trash company was a bit tickled by it. It was a few weeks before I received it back.
They have to go thru the county clerk treasure or some such.

Must be something to do with being young. :P

Thanks for that. Seems like a lot of us have done the same thing. :D

Oh Papa! I'm so happy for you that you got the refund early! I guess sometime, somewhere, somehow...someONE got the REAL spirit of Christmas and did the right thing. This just reinforces the fact that good people have good things come to them in the long run.

Some years back, when my Dad passed and my ex was really turning my life upside down, I had to take my daughter and go 2300 miles to get away from the ex. He sabotaged my contract for a mobile home to be built and my daughter and I went through some really nasty problems. A bunch of online friends (people I had only met just a few months before in person) and some back home friends, organized a blitz campaign against the mobile home builders, plus sent daughter and I money to stay in the motel while things were getting settled. Eventually, the whole thing was a major bust (and I lost everything including our household items, family pictures, and my two dogs) and I wound up here in Denver with my now hubbie with my car filled with what I could carry in it. But those folks really helped and we continue our friendships today.

There are angels everywhere, when you least expect it. ;)

I'm so glad that things worked out for you. One of my views on life is "In every dark cloud there is a spot of sunshine. Sometimes you must look harder than other times, but if you look hard enough, you will find it."

Merry Christmas.
