Hi there,

I've just seen you've closed the topic I opened several days ago ("General talk, everyone's invited! xD"); you gave us your reason, and I quote:

valerie wrote:It's ok to discuss a generalized topic but excessive quotes is ridiculous and the
excessive emoticons is against the rules.

I just wanted to make it clear that neither me nor Ubaid (I'm sure of this) meant to break any rules. I've seen many people (even myself) quoting a lot around these Forums, and nobody ever received any warnings about it (at least not that I've seen); if you had warned me, I'd just have stopped doing it.

Furthermore, I don't think we used "excessive emoticons", considering the lenght of our posts; but anyway, again, if you had warned me about it, I'd have used less emoticons, that would have been totally fine to me.

I'm aware of your great reputation and work here (congrats and thanks for that by the way), but this time I think you've rushed to close that topic without warning us in the first place, I think that would have been the fairest thing to do.

Just my opinion, and since I'm the author of that thread, I wanted to let you know.

Best regards.

I also just wanted to let you know that i agree with Sarah... We tried our best not break any forum rules since we are aware of them!

Best Regards,

Ubaid.

I don't know what you're talking about... I both quoted that part from Valerie's speech and then gave my explanations about it. So I don't get what your point is.

I think what Valerie did was more than warranted.
Although yes it was General Discussion, it seemed to me that it was more a topic only of interest to the two of you. In my country we say " Get a Room you two".
Would be best if you 2 use some sort of instant messenger, versus ClixSense forums.

Try looking at your Topic again . If the " excessive quoting " had not been done it would have meant a lot less visual emoticons .

Well, I only said she could have warned us before proceeding, as that's what most moderators usually do (but I guess everyone has his/her own methods).

I don't know if you have read the entire thread, but it started as an open invitation to know more about people's names and its origins, but since nobody seemed interested in it, we just kept talking, and finally decided to edit the thread's title (agian, inviting anyone to join).

Yeah, don't worry, Ubaid and I don't need that thread anymore to keep in touch; but as you can surely understand, we met here in ClixSense, and obviously this place was the only one we had in the beginning.

We say that in my country too, but do you know what we also say? "If it teases you, then don't look at it" (because no one is compelling you to). ;)

Once again, I never thought those quotings or emoticons would bother anyone; if anybody had told us about that, we surely would have changed our way of interacting.

I must say I find all of this a little sad; that thread was open with the best of my intentions, but everybody seems so pissed about it that it looks like we've committed some sort of crime! :?

People should be seeking information to earn more online, learning how to grow your income.

If your online to make money, don't bring your personal life to work.

Sarah is right, we do not need that thread anymore! And also we invited everyone to join as and share about what please them so all other users also enjoy reading the posts and get a bit relaxed and happy! :)

Sure, we now have our own party, but again, it wouldn't have been possible if we had not met and interact here in ClixSense. That's one of the greatest features of this wonderful site, and it's a thing that none of you seem to appreciate. Sorry for you.

proadco wrote:Folks. I'm going to make simple for you guys.

Double Bubbling to post just to be Double Bubbling is Kids play.

From time to time I will do a Bubble a Quote to emphasize a point.

In most cases when I speak, I stress a point to hammer sense in peoples strawman, you know,
knowledge, wisdom between the ears.

If your online to make money, don't bring your personal life to work.

People should be seeking information to earn more online, learning how to grow your income.

Ok, mate, I won't repeat myself over and over again. We never thought that quoting each other was so harmful. Sorry about that.

But regarding what we should or shouldn't bring to work, it's a personal business; if ClixSense was just meant to work, "General Talk" would not exist at all. You've been here for several years, so you have surely realized that there are A LOT of threads around here which have nothing to do with work.

This is the last post I write about this, I've said everything I had to say; I apologize once again for any inconvenience I've caused. But let me tell you it is very sad to see how people can feel so offended for such a harmless thing. There were even some users who found our interchanges to be a cause of happiness and found a reason to smile on it. And that's what really matters to me (that and the fact that I made a friend like Ubaid here), because life is too short to be pissed all the time. And for the last time, NOBODY is compelled to read a thread they don't like, as long as it is within the rules (and nobody told us it wasn't).

Best wishes and best regards to everyone.

And if your only concern here is working, how is it you come to "witness kids play"? By the way, maybe your sentence would fit better at the "quotes" one, so you can abide by the rules too:

Quote of the day | ClixSense Forum

Now I'm really done, won't waste more time with this kind of hunt.
Take care and be happy.

Of course I will, I always try to learn from my mistakes. ;)

As it seems there's nothing else to add, please Valerie, if you read this and it's fine with you, I'd appreciate it if you proceed and close this topic, just in case you're not willing to say anything about it. I really regret that I opened it in the first place, maybe that was a mistake too, but what's done, is done, so I apologize to you for everything and hope we can all forget about this issue, because there was no harm intended.

Best regards.

Please read the forum rules and if you don't understand them, submit a support ticket through
the HelpDesk.

Excessive emoticons are against the forum rules.

Although your topic and chatting away back and forth about basically nothing with your friend,
was ridiculous in my opinion, that is NOT why I locked the topic.

Moderators make decisions based on administrations rules and what we feel is inappropriate.

By the way, I am not most moderators.

I stress once more, read the forum rules.

Topic Locked.
