Sponsoring targeted referrals

Hi

After reading through almost all of the "referral threads" a common question that pops up is," how do I actually go about getting active referrals?"

Well I've tried all kinds of marketing such as online classifieds, ppc (pay per click), traffic exchanges, safelists, and finally other PTC sites.

What I've found is this:

1) Free advertising works but tends to be slow

2) Paid advertising works best; it's very quick

3) Whether using free or paid....you must be very specific who you target

4) The most targeted referrals you can ever go after are members of other PTC sites

For example, I recently launched a "sticky ad campaign" (in a well known PTC site) which brought in 75 new and very active referrals within 24 hours. These new referrals are active because they already know what needs to be done to earn through PTC sites.

While it is true that you can get referrals from other sources, I've found that referrals from other PTC sites prove to be the best.

The down side to using other PTC sites is that they can be expensive, especially when using "stick ads." However, like anything worthwhile you've got to let time work for you.

What I mean by this is simply that over time a good majority of the referrals you sponsor from other PTC sites will be quietly working away earning you commissions, and over time you'll get a healthy ROI (return on investment) from those referrals.

For example, a referral who I sponsored about 9 months ago (from a ptc site) has earned me $63.00 already. If I remember correctly he cost me about $2.00 to sponsor, so that's an RIO of $61.00!

Eventually you'll come to a point where you can invest some of your clixsense profits back into advertising and still be in profit, and your profit is going to come from referrals like the one just mentioned above.

For those of you who can't afford sticky ads, I recommend finding other PTC sites that offer click grid game ads. Purchasing a click grid ad is usually very cheap and you'll get to sponsor some very targeted referrals.

The Best PTC ads to buy, in my opinion are as follows:

1) 24 hour sticky ads, if you have the founds

2) Click grid game ads, if you're after cheap and targeted advertising

3) Standard ptc ads, if you've got funds to spend but not enough for sticky ads

Note: It's been my experience that standard ptc ads can be a bit hit and miss most times. For example, a recent ad campaign of 10,000 clicks brought in 3 referrals. The very next day I purchased another 10,000 clicks and sponsored 7 new referrals. A little while ago I launched a 5000 click campaign and sponsored nobody. This is why I've listed standard click ads as #3.

Now for my advertising stats:

Total spend on PTC ads during the last 10 days...$160 usd

Total referrals sponsored in the last 10 days...97

Total commissions earned this from these referrals in the last 10 days...$12.33

Notice the RIO (return on investment) has already begun.

These stats might scare you a little but like I said earlier, you've got to have your eye firmly fixed on the RIO. At the present rate that my new referrals are working, I estimate 2 to 3 months to break even, 4 months to move into profit. Now obviously it could take a little longer or a little less, but I think I'm fairly close with this estimate, going by my own experience.

Okay then, there you have it, I hope this has helped some of you. This has been, and remains to be my primary marketing strategy for sponsoring new ClixSense referrals.

God Bless
