I don't think that topic got locked because of a mod, but some members might have reported the poems posts and other off topic stuff.......Someone / some people reported the topic (they just want free handouts, and perhaps those that reported don't contribute anything themselves ) Cookin2 you were right....Obviously was not told who reported it, but mods were not involved, I think this forum is about give and take and that topic was GENERAL discussion, it's just just a topic of handing out a free lunch and giving ID but exchanging. What a shame it was locked as it had a happy mood and all were getting along.

I would not put all the blame on mods for the locking of this particular topic, it was probably one of the most
peaceful versions of the RF topics.

There is a new topic started in tasks, V3. Anybody free to use it and it was created with permission, but
also told that if things go south it would be locked, so I posted some guidelines to avoid this happening.
I personally will not take part in any FB topic or write anything on FB, I know exactly how FB uses your information
and what you write on it, and guys, be aware that FB is actively monitored, there is no such thing as "PRIVATE GROUPS", nothing is "PRIVATE" on Facebook. So for those here who want to resume talk about RF,
there is a new topic.

I don't think that the cause was Poems !! .. Poems from time to time ( not much otherwise will be spam ) can do much better to a hard tasker member

The reason for the topic getting locked was complaints about the off-topic AND poems, no names were mentioned but that was the reason given. Read cookin2's posts in the other also locked topic, she was right on the money. Topic
got reported by someone. I agree with you, personally I don't mind poems or some small distraction all in fun,
it's much better than posting compromising info and fighting, but some people want want want and don't give,
and they will report and complain because of too much off topic and poems ! So that is the result. They just expect the JOB ID and ANSWERS to be there available, and don't want to search the topic and do a bit of scrolling to look for info, so those are the ones who report stuff. (Nobody is attacking poems, I am only stating what I was told) as I too was shocked why topic was locked, no rules broken and no fighting. Cheers.

Nobody said we are not allowed anymore.

The use of the information posted on social media has far more consequences than posting that on a forum here.

After verifying, we are indeed allowed to continue, as long as forum rules are respected and that the topic doesn't derail. Something we have managed to do for months on no problem.

To @Hamsu, if you don't believe me that the topic was locked due to poems and other off-topic please ask for the information yourself, you will be given the same answers I was given, I was not making it up.

to the person or persons who reported the topic and got it locked, they should refrain from reading the topic or posts if they don't like it, this goes along what cookin2 was saying.

The topic in question was more or less 'Chit Chat about RainForest Tasks'. What does
that topic mean? Wouldn't it mean members chatting about 'Rainforest tasks'?

The General Discussions forum is NOT about anything you want to post. You still
must abide by the rules and for the most part, topic's should go along with the
thread.

If you want to start a topic 'Poems' what would you post in the topic? One would
at least think you would post poems in such a topic.

I think members tend to forget there are a lot of potential new members viewing
this forum. It could even be someone that clicked on YOUR link. In addition, there
are always new members viewing the forum, trying to locate information.
Believe me I know. Fun is Fun but you need to stick to the topic at hand so that
members can find the information they're seeking.
