Anyone here who has seen and recommends Game of Thrones? [no spoilers please ;) ]

I like it. Thus far have watched the first 4 seasons.

I am a netflix subscriber and I have streaming and 1 dvd out at a time.
I usually average 2 or 3 dvd's per week.

Netflix has Game of Thrones on streaming all the way through Season 4.
I've been waiting on Season 5 to become available, for many months but not
sure if they are ever going to get it.

I like Game of Thrones but it is rather action packed with war, sex, violence.

It's made 'Peter Dinklage' very famous to say the least.

If you like comedy.....

The first 'Paul Blart Mall Cop' was pretty good and funny. I think many people,
including myself, was surprised it was that good.

Today I received 'Paul Blart Mall Cop 2'. Some said it wasn't as good as the first
one.

-------------

I watched it tonight and it was a good comedy family movie.

Now, if you're talking comedy, you want Sex Lives Of The Potato Men.

It got absolutely slated by critics when it was released. This is because critics pretension is matched only by their ingenuity when avoiding creating anything of their own.

You shouldn't be surprised when you find yourself watching a film about the sex lives of potato men when you're watching a film called Sex Lives Of The Potato Men, but this is the crux of the criticism - they all pretended to be surprised. Perhaps they were expecting Are You Being Served.

Everybody I know loved it. Most people I know won't admit it in polite company, but will do in...less polite company.

It's crude, it's tacky, it's Johnny Vegas at his best.

oberder, thanks.
The Walking Dead is the next on my list after Game of Thrones. But I just don't have the time. Can you recommend some good zombie movies? I simply love them.

Not strictly zombies, but from the Godfather of Zombies, George A. Romero, The Crazies, Hungry Wives, and Martin are easy to forget about and must be seen,

Classics -- "Night of the Living Dead" ( where it all began, and where the PS game Resident Evil got it's inspiration )

Sequel to that -- "Dawn of the Dead" ( there's two versions: the 1978 version, and the remake made at 2004 )

Comedy -- "Shawn of the Dead" ( really, not much in terms of horror )

And "The kind of movie/s you just wished was never made in the first place" -- Dead Snow, Resident Evil series, 28 Days Later

BTW, the new season of TWD is due ( I think ) on Monday next week, Eastern Standard on Fox

EDIT: Forgot -- look for "World War Z" as well ;)

No, there's one version - the 1978 version. The 2004 version was just a bad dream. If we all pretend it didn't happen, it didn't happen.

The re-imagining of Night is also just awful, and, well, Romero was never the same again.

But why no Day? Day was the best, for my money.

i pretend none of the new transformers films have happened, if they could have even just loosely stuck to the original story of the very first transformers episodes i might have been interested. take it where you want after that, just stick to the story of how they came to be on earth, and the 'exploe, explore' robot stuff. then i could actually stomach bumblebee being a camaro.

I enjoy the old classics.

The other night I watched 'Conflict' with Humphrey Bogart.
I'd probably watched it 20 times over the years but I always enjoy watching the movies he is in.

The original 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' is a very good classic. It's the one with
Lana Turner and John Garfield.

I like the old Betty Davis movies too.

There is a ton of old classics that beat any of the movies made today. Even when they
remake them, as a norm the original version is best.

Of course, the best thing about older films is that a lot of them are available at archive.org.

Presently watching A Boy And His Dog.

I only watched a few episodes of House of Cards and I hated it.
For the most part, I hate when someone talks to the audience in a show or movie.
So that was the big turn off for me.
