Another business is moving out of my town. In the paper, it said that business is actually making money ,but they want to close fifty stores. Whatever happen to making money to stay in business?

@ judith2263

You asked a very good question and it's going to get worse.

For more on closing and layoffs, you can stay up to date daily at Daily Job Cuts

Ross Perot warned the American people on Jobs.

It all started back in 1913 and you can visit the thread titled, The American Dream.

Only one country has stood up to the financial cartel and that was ICELAND, you can learn more here How ICELAND defeated the bankers and put them in Jail.

Sounds like you are referring to Macy's.

Some stores make money but just because they do in one area does not
mean they do in another area.

Many stores are doing very weird things this day and time. I use to like
Macys until they started all the BIG ONE DAY SALES campaigns that take
place every day. HAHA! Kind of like HobbyLobby that was sued for faking
50% of one day sales every day.

Even though the majority of purchases are made offline, many stores are
in fact in strong competition online and many are losing money as well as
others making money.

Some stores do bad online & offline. Let's take best buy for example. I got top level benefit Elite Plus for spending $3500 a year included benefit include free very fast shipping. Only reason I go to there website to buy is to spend enough yearly so keep these benefits. Most Tuesdays I go to it to buy all the new dvds and/or blurays I want. Half titles go to to buy either have no pictures and/or no descriptions. I got tool tells me if Amazon has it cheaper. So I have to see what Bestbuy selling by using the tool read about it at competitor. BestBuy cheaper on most the new items so 95% of them buy thru them. Most people would not do this. Only plus BestBuy they have all new releases in set of pages for past week, this week, or next week. Alot easier than Amazon. Amazon organizes all related items from that one page click on box takes you too it Bestbuy does not. Best Buy makes you buy alot of items in store only. Not going to occur store not convent and badly organized. I go to facebook let Best Buy know why they suck they refuse to listen or want link all items need add descriptions or pictures. If this employee spent 5 mins going site viewing this week new dvds they get it themselves I not going to care more about there company than they do.

Now I buy from them often not because easy as it is not. They alot cheaper on some itemsi always check before buy at Amazon. Today save couple hundred buying 5 GB hard drive. I bought 16 GB RAM at Amazon as it is cheaper. One thing I never buy at Best Buy computer take hours get it at store and I have wait for delivery to sign for it. Amazon themselves never requires a signature now 3rd parties might but I never buy one from one of those. I am home all day but chances me hearing doorbell ring slim. But I will get email once delivered so I can get it before anyone get to it. Another reason buy computer from Amazon they got best customer service and no questions asked return policy.

Same true other stores do not get me started on Wal-mart or K-mart. There is a reason why Amazon makes all money it does.

I don't like 'BestBuy'. There was a time I used them several years ago but grew to
dislike them rather quickly. I never purchased a whole lot from them anyway. One
of my daughters needed a new tv and I ordered her one from them. I can't recall
paying shipping on anything at that time but maybe I did. I remember buying a
small tv cabinet/stand that I used my points or some such on....and I think my cost
was something like $5.....and I'd say it was at least a $75 cabinet.

Amazon is top notch when it comes to support. They're also top notch on their
website layout. Shipping fees are not too bad and if you're prime, then for the
most part, its free. It was great when there wasn't sales tax. I'm in TN so the
sales tax really eats me up here.....it's almost 10% and even on food items we
pay tax in TN. I often think about moving simply due to TN horrible sales tax.

In regards to Walmart. I am a Spark Reviewer.

USA been slowly losing liberty for past century but process greatly speed up since 9/11. Our foolish politicians traded it for false since of safety. We now live in a police state where they can kill you and nothing happens yet courts ruled the police no longer have to "protect and serve" they just now there to steal our money. You better off buying weapons protecting yourself than calling the cops just saying.

We lost our liberty ages ago. Those bloody Christians infected Denmark, and we had no way to stop them until it was too late. They didn't come to Jorvik until Denmark was already infiltrated. After that, the English came in and claimed Jorvik for it's own.

The English fancied an empire of their own which lasted quite a while, but somehow let themselves be subverted. Their children, the Americans, were allowed to establish military bases on English grounds. To this day, American soldiers, American arms, plague our country. 9/11 happened, and since there's a massive foreign army in the middle of our country, we don't have a lot of choice other than to remove the civil rights of our citizens as America demands, or we'll die.

I was born centuries too late to prevent the fall of the Viking empire, but it's never too late. We'll have freedom yet.

Sorry about all those Christians in your country. Maybe you can let all those Muslims in and you will do better with their laws. I didn't know the Christians demanded civil rights or die.

The Muslims are fine. Tens of thousands of them in Bradford, and they've all got Yorkshire accents. Sure, we've had a couple of riots, but not once have they infiltrated the inside of our political machinery and imposed their religion in law.

Now the bloody English, they don't integrate.
