Even if we are controlled and our moves are recorded in my opinion there's no need to worry, because most people won't don bad things when they know that and if they want to do them, they will take extra measures to avoid that, so it's plus plus, people will be afraid to do bad things and people who want to do bad things needs to be smarter :D

If you think "If I've got nothing to hide, I've got nothing to fear", please give me your credit card details and the three numbers on the back, you know, the ones they ask you for. Also, please install webcams in your bathroom, and make sure they cover both the toilet and the bath, and are streamed live to the internet 24/7.

Then come back and tell me you've got nothing to fear.

"If I've got nothing to hide, I've got nothing to fear" it's a bad concept, even you don't have nothing to hide/fear, it's your personal life and you want to keep it like that, I'm speaking from experience about control and things, I've done a lot of bad things in my life, things like selling drugs, hacking online payment processors and other things and I don't even have a ticket on my name and I was never questioned about "things", I'm just saying this "controlled" thing at the stage that it's now, can't affect us to much, of course in London there are cameras everywhere, that's not so nice, but in US or Romania it's not like that, and even if people can see everything you do when you are connected to internet, see what calls you make, see what messages you send, if you are smart you can trick them and avoid being caught. You just need to act stupid in front and be smart in the back...

Germany makes up the overwhelming majority of the so called "free web", or "federation" (which is a collection of privacy focused, interconnected social networks). The former USSR and it's satellite states make up the second largest demographic. The rest of the world sticks with Facebook. I don't think this is coincidence, I think this is learning from history.
