I don't need that sort of speed - 90% of my time is spent in a terminal transmitting text, and the rest at Clixsense or KoL, the little downloading I do, I do overnight anyway - but my only options are fibre or dial up.
Yeah, I am pretty much in the same boat. I only have the landline because I have DSL
and without the landline, I can't get DSL. They are the only provider in my area. My
only other option would be satellite. I do have DISH but the reality is, their satellite wouldn't
be as good as I have now and it would cost more.
My only real complaint is the upload speed. It is extremely slow.
