Hello Puhiwai,
Firstly welcome to ClixSense.
Secondly it is nice that you have made around $30 in a month.
As for your question on referrals.
There are many ways to get referrals. The easiest would be through word and mouth try and talk about ClixSense to them (ask your friends, other family members, colleges etc.) and get them to join up with your referral link.
As for advertising.
Well. It all depends on how much you are prepared to spend in the advertising department. I should add that results will wildly vary depending on where you are advertising.
- Banner advertising can be good. Promoting ClixSense banners around various websites, PTC etc. (if you creative enough you can try and create your own eye catchy banners to promote ClixSense). Banner advertising can be inexpensive.
- Advertise your referral link on other PTC sites. (Fixed ads, cheap exposure ads, grid advertising) The cost of Fix ads can add up. But if you can advertise on sites that has not have ClixSense advertised on could possible get you potential higher chanced of getting sign ups.
- Website/Blogs/Splash pages. You can try and create your own website/blog/splash page to promote ClixSense and advertise it around. Make it standout and unique as this will potentially get you referrals if it catches your viewers.
There are of course many others to list but that's a start.
I would say if you can get creative and have a mix of sources and material you will have higher chances of getting potential sign ups.
For me I have not focused that much on adverting ClixSense. I am only running a set of branded Jacknz ClixSense banners around various PTC websites etc. I may look to increase my advertising budget and efforts to promote ClixSense sometime down the track.
I should add that I am not that active on ClixSense with clicking my daily ads and I only click from time to time. Same goes to partaking on ClixGrid and I try and do a few surveys here and here whenever I have some time. So most of my earnings come from my referrals.
I hope this helps.
