Wait, you're panicking over losing a job and you're an Indian developer?

There's plenty of work for developers, what you need is a git log to back it up.

Join an open source project. Any, it doesn't matter which. In fact, the more obscure the better - because more obscure projects struggle for developers and are more likely to accept pull requests from anyone who makes them. Spend a year or two checking in code regularly, then sign up for elancer, and you'll never have to work for anyone else again (unless your economy picks up and the cost of living starts to meet ours - then it starts to get tricky).

It's the same sort of thing, yeah, but there's more serious work at elance.

The trick to winning bids is in your git logs. You can just say "I'm experienced with this, I've built hundreds of sites". Say "Here are the development logs for some projects I've worked on in the past". Bonus points if your commit notes include things like "SECURITY: {{stuff that fixed a bug}}" rather than "UI: made box shadow bigger".

Thank you.. Do you have any idea about theming business? I have planned to concentrate on Opencart e-commerce themes and modules..
