Call me old fashioned, but the only mental problem here is people thinking they have any right to any opinion on anybody else's relationships.

In my own family, I had a cousin who was in a gay relationship for about 50 years. They were completely devoted to each other. I never saw them fight or angry with one another which is far more than I can say for my friends and relatives in straight relationships. We're talking "War of the Roses" for some of those couples. (If you never saw that movie, see it before you get married!)

That doesn't even make sense; are you trying to say that gays being scared means that they recognize they hold an offensive condition? The offense is only in minds like yours, and some gays are scared because they've swallowed all that bullshit and feel guilty for something they don't have any control over.

Well yes, they could for sure restrain themselves, or even force themselves to get into a straight relationship... and both choices would most probably lead to a miserable life, if they didn't eventually decide to kill themselves (which unfortunately many do, by the way).
